Voucher schools are now receiving an extra $1,400 per pupil while our precious public schools are receiving cuts in funding. Voucher schools can pick and choose who they would like to educate and even kick students out after they have accepted funding, yet still keep the proceeds. Meanwhile, our public schools accept all students and their funding is on the chopping block. In order for America to remain competitive, we need a strong public education system! The future of our students and America hangs in the balance! Demand that public schools receive an extra $250.00 per pupil and voucher schools, which violate the separation of church and state receive no increases. America's future depends on it!

Permanent positions are being staffed by an endless cycle of contract workers. This is not only depressing the wages of skilled workers, but it's making it increasingly difficult to find steady employment with benefits, even for qualified and experienced engineers.

Leonard Peltier has been in prison for over thirty years for a crime he did not commit. Prosecuting attorneys and FBI agents involved in the case have since stated his innocence and their lack of knowledge as to who committed the crime.

My daughter, Zyanne, is a Fifth grader who attends Townsends Schools and is in Band. To my dismay, I was informed that our new Superintendent and Principal are moving towards not renewing our Music Program teacher's contract for the next school year. Our music teacher is also new to the school and her name is Mrs. Bruce. Our Music Program in Townsend was revitalized this past school year, thanks to Mrs. Bruce's energy and passion as the new Music teacher. Our band has not sounded this great in a long, LONG time. Furthermore, our music students look great behind their instruments, and school spirit is coming back. You see our school spirit at every game; and the band sounds and looks better than ever! Our children deserve a strong music program, and a passionate teacher who instills discipline and inspires our children to shoot for the moon. Mrs. Bruce should be retained. If you feel the same way, I strongly encourage you all to write our Superintendent and Principal and let them know your thoughts. I am also starting a petition of support for Mrs Bruce. HI! I AM A HIGHLY CONCERNED PARENT OF THE CHESTER A. ARTHUR SCHOOL. THIS SCHOOL HAS MORE THAN 100 NEW STUDENTS COMING FROM A TROUBLED SCHOOL. WITH LESS STAFF AND BAD BEHAVIOR WILL CAUSE THE GOOD CHILDREN TO FEAR COMING TO THE SAFE SCHOOL THE ONCE HAD. SAFETY PROVIDES A BETTER LEARNING ENVIRONMENT. ALOT OF CHILDREN HAVE ILLNESS' AND THE NURSES ARE NEEDED EVERYDAY. IF THERES NO SECRETARY HOW WILL OUR CHILDREN GET THE PROPER EARLY DISMISSALS WITH THE RIGHT PERSON ON THE LIST.( DON'T NEED ANOTHER SCHOOL ABDUCTION) NOW DO WE? CAN THE DISTRICT AFFORD THAT? WE NEED FUNDING AND WE NEED THE STAFF A.S.A.P. HOW CAN CHILDREN LEARN IF NO ONE IS THERE FEELING SAFE. OVERCROWDING IS NOT A SIGN OF GOOD LEARNING. MONEY AND BEEN MISMANAGED. STUDENTS WILL DROP OUT CRIMES WWILL BE MORE ON THE RISE BECAUSE OF LACK OF EDUCATION. PLEEEEEASE HEEEEELP US!

The Obama administration so far has deported over ONE MILLION non-criminal, otherwise law-abiding, undocumented immigrants: family women and men contributing to Society and pursuing their American Dream. That is an order of magnitude larger than the forced relocation of American Indians from their homelands in the Southeast to the Southwest, in what came to be called "The Trail of Tears." In this, its XXI century version, however, it could be argued the pain is even worse, and the tears more abundant. Families, where the dearest and most important human bonds reside, are broken apart by senseless and needless actions of the Government - and at great expense to the taxpayers, may we add.

Lets bring Credit rating usage back to what it was intended for , Credit ratings should be used only to check the Credit worthiness of those who are about to borrow money either from a Bank, Credit card Company or the Government,nothing else.

Hydraulic fracturing (fracking) is an environmentally destructive practice which is polluting water resources and impacting communities with toxic waste spills, polluted air and water, and earthquakes. Fracking also uses a lot of water, severely impacting agriculture and urban water supplies. This is also enabling the release into the atmosphere of carbon that was sequestered in the Earth millions of years ago.

People have been told by White House on down thru channels to save for their retirement. I have some investments. Now I have reached that magic 70 yr. point & I am told I have to start drawing on it. I don't need it right now, but I have to draw it or be penalized. In turn I have to pay taxes on something I have already paid taxes on. I am being forced to receive what I might need in later years to survive & be self supporting. I am sick & tired of our government telling me I don't know when I need to draw out some of my investments.

The Borough of Highland Park has quietly passed and illegal ordinance (135-25) which requires ALL Highland Park residents to register their home for inspection, and pay $100 per upto 3x per year! Each time you rent your property you must pay $100 and allow inspectors into your home for their approval. This is unprecedented compared to normal inspection regulations. (1x every 3 years) If you do not or do not agree you can be fined $500 per day as long as the BHP sees fit. The town has also criminalized housing matters which means you could be arrested as a criminal in your home. This of course is against the law but the Judge Herman of Highland Park does not seem to care as long as you keep paying and filling his coffers. As of 2012 the relavent case law Heine vs NJ states very clearly a municipality can NOT criminalize housing matters and fine citizens let alone arrest them for housing tickets. This illegal ordinance and fining must be stopped!
