When a person falls behind in child support, their drivers license is suspended, which can result in job opportunities being lost. In our current economy, with so many out of work and unable to pay child support, the pool of workers keeps dropping due to those otherwise qualified individuals not having drivers licenses. Additionally, each time they have to reinstate their drivers license, the state imposes an ever larger "fee" to do so. Eventually, they are never going to get a drivers license simply because it is too expensive.

The Congress is at best inept, or has been willfully negligent in keeping the minimum wage up with inflation. We are DECADES behind in this and MANY in our country are poverty stricken and as a result. Immediate action is required in this poor economy, yet none is being taken. Only the usual phoney "we should do something about this" propaganda we always get from politicians.

My desire is to get fluoride out of our drinking water. They should be concerned for the following reasons it causes the following Arthritis Gastrointestinal Effects, Bone Fracture ,Hypersensitivity and other serious medical conditions. The deadline is right away we cannot waste one more day with fluoride in the water. It personally affects me because I am seeing people drink something toxic and I do not know how to stop the situation. That's very depressing.

Texas Adoptees are denied their original birth certificates which open the door to their health, genetic and cultural history. SB 714 is a small step towards that information for some adoptees. Senator Donna Campbell, MD, an adoptive mother, has blocked the bill based upon false beliefs and ignores independent facts when presented. Please join us in drawing attention to the discrimination against adoptees in Texas.

The traffic on Redwood Road and Jamison Way will be negatively affected with the development of this project. Local residents and shoppers will be affected with greater traffic, cars backed up blocking intersections and driveways, and dangerous left-hand turns will be required to access the shopping center from both Redwood and Jamison. The safety of elderly pedestrians as well as families with young children and pets in the area will be jeopardized. Parking in the Village will only be increased by 41 spaces, half of which will likely go to employees of the TJ MAXX. The parking lot is already congested and inconvenient; consequently, many patrons and employees of the Village will choose to park along Jamison, a residential street already lacking parking. The parking issues, traffic impact, danger and inconvenience likely to be caused to the area have not been properly addressed in the current proposal approved by the Castro Valley MAC.

The Kansas Board of Education adopted the Common Core State Standards for Math and English/Language Arts in 2010 as the framework for the Kansas standards in these areas. Current legislation proposes to reverse the BOE decision which would be a financial and educational setback for Kansas.

In its January, 2012, McCleary decision, the state Supreme Court ordered the state to fully fund K-12 public schools as required by the Washington Constitution. In December, 2012, the Supreme Court chastised the legislature for its inaction on complying with the McCleary decision. Senators Rodney Tom, and Steve Litzow, among others, continue to promote a slate of bad bills that have nothing to do with complying with the Supreme Court's ruling. Washington is now ranked 43rd in student spending, $2,700 below the national average. It is time for the WA State Legislature to start obeying the law, beginning with reducing overcrowded class sizes

Payments made to the Social Security System to withdraw from when wage-earners retire are not "entitlements". Entitlements are actually those expenses that NO ONE paid into. Support President Obama's position on this issue!

The Old Village Historic District Commission guidelines and town ordinance includes porches in the BAR (Building Area Ratio) Requirement for allowable square footage for homes in the Old Village Historic District. The BAR ordinance should be amended because it puts an unnecessary restriction on builders and homeowners in the OVHD. When designing a home people shouldn't have to choose between a bedroom for a child and a front and/or back porch. Porches don't make houses look overly large. Porches are cherished places and historically they are the "ubiquitous feature of the Old Village." Therefore, the Town of Mt. Pleasant should embrace porches as welcome additions especially on Old Village homes. Old Village residents should be encouraged to have porches, not discouraged from them. No other town in the Southeast restricts porches. So let's face it; it's absurd that the OVHDC has this restriction in their BAR ordinance and it needs to be fixed.

I am interested in reforming bullies in our school system. There are many resources available to the victims; however there is a huge lack of education and resources available to parents, schools and children in reforming a bully. In order to find a solution, we have to find out more, and provide a higher success rate at stopping that behavior. There currently are no interventions nor consequences for bullies. Parents of bullies should also at some point be held accountable i.e. like Florida's Truancy Law. Our children our the future of our world. Victims of bullies are in pain, but so are the bullies. In order to create change, we must provide the opportunity for all parties to have the necessary resources available.

The Congress of the United States is no longer responding in a responsible way to the citizens of the United States. It is time for a change that will benefit the American People.
