• Reject the Trans Pacific Plan
The Trans Pacific Plan or TPP grants too much, and previously unheard of, powers to international corporations over national and even state governments. If passed, the TPP would bring about a new world order where corporations formally and officially had final governing power over most nations in the world.

  • Change minimum wage to $12 an hour!
$12 an hours still doesn't meet the cost of living for many Americans but it is a start. We need to get our economy back up and stop starving the poor in order to feed the rich.

  • APE K-9 Bulletproof Protection
The FBI K-9 dog "Ape" was sent into a building where a dangerous and armed murderer waited with nothing more than his teeth for protection. "Ape" was fitted with a camera but what he needed was a bulletproof vest. All K-9s working with officers anywhere should be issued and fitted with bulletproof vests in tactical situations.

The lack of long-term psychiatric facilities for the seriously mentally ill needs to be addressed, and the need for excellent long-term and permanent psychiatric care should be a priority in congress NOW.

  • Eliminate Gestation Crates from North Carolina Slaughter Houses
As documented by the humane society: “Most breeding pigs in the U.S. are confined in gestation crates for virtually their entire lives. For several years, they're confined to crates that nearly immobilize them, enduring a cycle of repeated impregnation. These individual cages are approximately 2 feet wide—so small the animals can't even turn around or take more than a step forward or backward.”

  • Take PA To Court
In the last election Democrats got over 50% of the vote and less than 33% of the legislators because of gerrymandering. That means an R vote is 2x more effective than a D vote and that's unconstitutional. There's no point worrying about anything else until we fix this, because we don't have any power this way. We should put our efforts and funds into suing for equity instead of trying to lobby R's that don't care what we say because they know our votes don't count.

  • TERM LIMITS NOW
lifers in congress are subverting democracy while enriching themselves and their corporate masters. two terms in the senate and three in the house is quite enough. the founders fathers never envisioned a class of professional politicians working only for themselves.

  • Paid Parental Leave: U.S. vs. The World
When Australia passed a parental leave law in 2010, it left the U.S. as the only industrialized nation not to mandate paid leave for mothers of newborns. The United States has no mandatory paid family leave policy, making it one of just three countries in the world and the only country in the first-world to not mandate paid maternity leave for new mothers (Swaziland and Papua New Guinea are the others). Many countries give new fathers paid time off as well or allow parents to share paid leave.
