No one, other than law enforcement and the military needs to carry a concealed weapon. If you have a legitimate need to carry a weapon there is no reason to hide it.

The possession or use of a weapon in commission of a crime is always life-threatening, whether the weapon is fired or not. There must be a stiff penalty for this. Current laws do not make anyone think twice before using a gun to threaten or harm someone.

Weapons are a serious health and safety issue. Automatic and semi-automatic weapons are battlefield equipment designed to kill as many people as quickly as possible. Maine is not at war with itself or with anyone else. These weapons are no different than the plague or the black death. We are all repeatedly affected by this "disease" and need to eliminate it.

The biggest legalize scam to date is your credit score that has been used by insurance,auto & home owners insurance companies. They covert your credit score to "insurance score" & a bad credit score makes you a bad driver & home owner! Insurance companies say their is a correlation between low scores & bad drivers & bad home owners. Although there has been legislation enacted in Ulster County against hydraulic fracturing, the Bill leaves gaps. Many towns in Ulster County have or are in the process of putting local legislation in place to prevent hydraulic fracturing from being done and the use of by-products of fracturing to be used on our town roads as de-icer. The Town of Lloyd has so far not been amenable to going forward with this needed local legislation.

Connecticut has the highest cost of living in the nation. But while the rich recover and corporate profits rebound, ordinary families are struggling. It is unconscionable in a state as rich as ours to have so many people who can barely pay their rent and keep food on the table. President Obama has called for raising the minimum wage. So have all five of our state's US Representatives and both US Senators. Connecticut shouldn't let congressional gridlock stand in the way of a much needed raise for low wage workers in our state. It's time for Gov. Malloy to call for a minimum wage increase in Connecticut. Big low wage employers like WalMart, McDonald's and Target are making huge profits -- even more than before the recession. But if you work for the minimum wage, you keep falling further behind. Governor Dannel Malloy, you have a chance to lead. It is time to raise Connecticut's minimum wage.

By enforcing the death penalty, states like PA are using the immoral act of vengeance as punishment. Studies have shown that it is not a deterrent; it is many times more costly than is a sentence of life in prison; it is much more likely to be imposed on the poor and minorities; and, worst of all, innocent people have been killed because of it. More than 130 people have been exonerated after having spent years on death row. No modern democracies support its use.

The Post master General of the United States Postal Service wants to cut 6-day a week mail delivery to five which will eliminate 25,000 jobs not to mention the domino effect in would have on the economy by eliminating 80,000 jobs. We should be preserving jobs and creating them not destroying prosperity.
