I live on a fixed income but I don't want Massachusetts government starved for tax dollars any longer. I want to give more to all the outstanding, good, and OK things this state government does and some that they no longer do-- our state is a national leader in many public services.nation leading environmental protection, models of citizen and business volunteer action which advises and compliments government staff. Let's also support the budgets of the attorney general, secretary of state, treasurer, and auditor action on issues that affect all of us, like bad banking and selfish mortgage lending, corrupt non-profits, utility overview and numerous public protections reflected daily.

As we're forced to pay exorbitant fees to operate our vehicles anyway, many drivers choose to order custom vanity plates. Believing we're still served by party lines and 5-digit phone numbers, the VA DMV has yet to expand our plates beyond 7 characters. Allowing 8 letters will allow for new, unique plate numbers plus more and better vanity plates, meaning more revenue. Let's go for 8 in 2013!

I have been looking for a good job for 5years could not find one after I was laid off from the board of Education , because of cutbacks. I was a teacher's assistant for 7 years. since I could not find a job that could keep me and my daughter from living in our car. I finally took my mothers advice "can't find a job, make a job". I now work out of my home as a daycare provider, overnight, weekend babysitter, I also clean houses on the weekends. We the people need "one" good paying job.

Child sexual abuse is the most underreported crimes inflicted on a child. I have seen first hand the devestating effects of sexual abuse on a child. Hoplessness, eating disorders, unhealthy relationships, generational abusive patterns, and suicide are just a few of the effects of child sexual abuse. This bill will begin to educate students, parents, teachers and school personnel how to report and seek help for child sexual abuse. Educating our children and equipping them with a voice to stop the abuse should be our top priority.

Don't be misled by the education reform movement. Public schools in Indiana are not failing! They have been steadily improving over the last 20 years. The Indiana Coalition for Public Education supports focusing public tax dollars on the K-12 education of public school students and opposes legislation that funds private school vouchers. That's why we're organizing a Statehouse Rally March 19.

Hydraulic fraction of shale to release stores natural gas and/or oil is destroying hundreds of millions of gallons of water, first by contaminating it with chemicals and foreign matter in order to make it an effective agent to fracture the shale and then by being able to recover only about 30% of it after drilling is completed. The contaminated water has become additionally toxic as a result of its stay in the ground and there is no way known to clean it up for safe use by humans, plants or animals. Fresh water is not a renewable resource. Additionally, storage of this fracking waste, or "brine" is not regulated and poses an additional danger to life.
