This petition is to stop the "state budget cut" to close the doors on the only aftercare programs in our county. We recieved a letter stating that as of June 30th the doors would be closed. HOW are people suppose to work? Many people rely on that aftercare program, because they work in different towns and do not get off of work in time to pick their children up from school. So many parents will be unemployed or kids will be going wild, not having the guidance that they need. Myself as well as countless other parents have no clue what we will do as far as working, if this actually happens - This is one budget cut that should be reconsidered. Think about all the lives that is going to be affected.

There as been a lot of talk over the days about the higher up of the Post Office saying they are wanting to cancel Saturday delivery and close down more of the post office and / or having the office opened only for 4 days.

Gov. Cuomo's budget proposal contains $120 million in cuts to services for people with developmental disabilities operated by non-profit service providers in NY state and $120 million more in cuts to the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities. To balance the state's coffers on the backs of our most vulnerable citizens is a moral outrage that could end up denying these innocent people vital services. We never want to see a return to the days of the institutional hell-holes. Please help us stop these cuts!

The citizens of Oregon need to feel safe in all public places. Now is the time to mandate gun safety in our state. We've already experienced and increase in gun related incidents in the Metro area including gang and the shooting at Clackamas Town Center. We do not want to wait for another devastating occurrence before we act. The time is now.

Access to mental health services such as counseling, therapies, co-occuring disabilities ( mental health + substance use/abuse), rehab facilities, ongoing support services afterward such as life skills, job training skills, vocational school, parenting classes,etc. Yes, my family and I are personally affected by the lack of resources for a family member- even WITH insurance.

The Oregon Supreme Court continues to refuse to allow Oregonians to implement limits on political campaign contributions, despite the fact that the voters of Oregon have adopted such limits 4 times. Let us put an end to the games and amend the Oregon Constitution to guarantee that such limits will be implemented and enforced. Senators Prozanski, Beyer and Edwards and Representatives Barnhart and Holvey have introduced a Senate Joint Resolution to do that., SJR 19.

Children's education is extremely important! I personally do not have children, however take care of children after school.
