The government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is currently prosecuting nearly 100 individuals, including human-rights lawyers, judges, teachers, and student activists, in Abu Dhabi for allegedly attempting to overthrow the government of the UAE. We the undersigned are faculty, staff, students, and alumni of New York University (NYU) who take a special interest in the rights of free speech, intellectual freedom, and political dissent in the UAE because of the presence of an NYU branch campus in that country (NYU Abu Dhabi).

I attended ITT Technical Institute and now owe over $96 thousand dollars for an Associates level education that has no extrinsic value. The school specializes in little more than high pressure sales, misleading information, "college credits" and "degrees" that are not transferable and coercion. They hurt the economy by knowingly offering a substandard product that effectively places most alumni in precarious and often dire financial situations. As a “for profit” school they should be held to the same standards as other businesses and “customers” should have the right to request a refund for reasons of: “Disputes Quality of Goods or Services”, “Defective/Not as Described” or “Services Not Rendered”. They should made accountable for poor business practices and taking advantage of students.

Our children are more then numbers to fill seats in warehouses called school. We must require higher standards for educators, abolish no child left behind act and begin true education. Our children are not corporate slaves and tools for share holders. Let's create innovators, chemists, forerunners, by making sure that a whole education is not just good words imposed on student bodies. Educators are only the middle men the messengers if you will. While it is the publishers, collective tax dollars and community pooling that have a actual effect and say on what can and can't be taught. Tell congress to actually be for the people and let us decide in conjunction with non profits and corporations what our child's education should be, not the other way around.

Eric Holder has been totally ineffective in bringing the " Banksters " to justice. He has also failed to to do anything about the admitted war criminals in the previous administration. He has shown time and time again that he is afraid of big companies and corporations. We need someone with guts to take on the nation's major criminals.

Most governments have enacted some form of the commandment, "Thou Shalt Not Kill". It's not just a guideline, it's a commandment. If all governments would agree to enforce this one simple law, military spending could be eliminated.

Obamacare addresses who is going to pay for medical care. Steve Brill's 27,000 word March 4, 2013 special report opens the lid to overcharging "non-profit" hospitals, price-gouging drug and medical supply companies, insurance companies built on secret 'chargemasters' which uncomprehendingly determines outrageous/grossly-inflated health care costs driving even upper middle class families into bankruptcy. Doctor pay is narrowly mentioned but equally at fault.

Petitioning to be allowed to re-take MATH060 without charge. Instructor Ralf Youtz did not help us to the extent we needed and most of the class failed this required course. We need more help and he would not assist in our learning needs. Most students took full advantage of tutoring offered and still could not understand the course. We are asking to be allowed to take the course again at the cost of Mt. Hood Community College. We feel that Mt. Hood should be responsible because they did not train the teacher to teach the curriculum correctly or enforce the methods of teaching that would benefit its students. This instructor has been a problem and nothing has been done to improve his classes. We do not feel we have enough knowledge to move on to the next class.

Well friends it appears that nearly 60% of MS saying no to Personhood wasn't enough for some people as they have renewed their push for this dangerous and misguided law once again. The Colorado-based Personhood USA is meddling in our state's affairs once again, with the help of Personhood MS. After failing two times in Colorado, Personhood USA turned to MS as "easy pickings" in 2011, though little did they know that nearly 6 in 10 Mississippians would reject their meddling, unwanted efforts. With your help we defeated Personhood legislation in the MS Legislature, but this is another initiative (voter referendum) push to force Personhood upon us again.  Regardless of their unwillingness to heed the resounding call of nearly 6 in 10 Mississippians, we will not shy away from defeating them again! MS has spoken and it was clear and with full, unfettered knowledge of exactly what our votes meant -- we do not want the government prying into our bedrooms, doctor's offices, and living rooms - NO MEANS NO. Personhood is fatally flawed as it can never remove the definition and following extreme and widespread consequences of life at conception which no matter how you dress it up still carries with it the exact same consequences as Initiative 26 and any other personhood law across the country.
