The legislature and Gov. Bentley are causing more harm to the children of Alabama. They are making POOR decisions that will effect our children and grandchildren to come.

It costs around $20,000 a year to keep an inmate locked up. With one in eight behind bars for simply possessing a plant, we could prune wasteful spending. Taxing marijuana would put money into schools and infastructure. Consequently it would weaken the cartels and gangs.

I am an environmental Program manager and am appalled at the lack of knowledge in the general population regarding the various environmental issues. The most obvious example, but far from the only example, the existence of Global Warming is not debatable. It is as certain as the fact that smoking increases the risk of cancer, but unlike smoking, Global Warming could shorten the lives of everyone! New York City talks about adapting to Global Warming by redistricting and declaring more areas 'flood prone'. How is New York going to adapt to to 128 feet of sea rise and level 5 hurricanes coming through every year. How is America going to adapt when 53% of its population are environmental refugees - forced to leave their homes. And this is only one of a series of environmental issues of which most people are completely uneducated.

JOB SECURITY is not the RIGHT TO WORK LAW. There is to much discrimination going on here, and I have lost my job due to this discrimination process that is going on. I believe the laws here in FL. have always been set to effect negatively, people of color and the down and out. This has to stop.

The people of South Carolina deserve the benefits of the Medicaid Expansion provision of the Affordable Care Act. Gov. Haley plans to reject $11 billion in federal money which will pay for medical care for 500,000 of our neediest citizens. In addition to those medical benefits, $11 billion will create nearly 44,000 jobs in SC by 2020, boosting the state's health care industry and stimulating the overall SC economy. It will reduce ER visits and lower costs. If SC does NOT take advantage of the federal money, the SC share will be used elsewhere.

The mining industry in NV has been getting a sweetheart deal for far to long. With Nevada schools continually ranking near the bottom, we need to invest more in education in Nevada. Democrats introduced SJR15 to set a higher tax rate and to tax mining proceeds. This can add up to $780 million dollars into NV education, depending on the tax rate that is set.

Many North Carolina citizens need the health coverage expanded MEDICAID of the ACA will give us. I worked at Stough Elementary School with Governor McCrory's sister for 10 years, because of health issues of self & sons, & Broughton HS forcing my son to Drop Out when he was hospitalized, I had to quit work, I'm a widow & the only parent. My son's 4 year struggle is documented-Legal Aid & Duke Law filed the longest petition in NC history on behalf of my son. We suffer greatly without health insurance, we suffer innocently. Many more suffer with us. We need & deserve health insurance. There's no fair reason not to expand MEDICAID coverage for citizens. The money is already available. Please ask Governor McCrory to do right by us & our children.

To eliminate any notion of an Emergency Financial Manager in Detroit or any other city in the state of Michigan. As the citizens have voted overwhelmingly to remove the said position in the 2012 election, it is the obligation of our state's elected officials to follow the will of the people. Anything less may be considered a totalitarian government practicing taxation without representation.

I have career oriented/professional friends in their mid-50s to early 60s who have been underemployed/unemployed for several years or more. They are depleting their 401ks, unable to pay into their social security, do not have health care, and probably limited retirement. They will be unable to help their children, extended family, or themselves due to lack of income. A lack of jobs/income hurts everyone in the community. The Republican Congress ran on jobs and growing the economy. However, they have not created one job. Rather than create jobs, they cut jobs. The Republican Congress hurts the American people by constantly attacking, fighting, and disparaging President Obama because he is African American. The Republican Congress want to tarnish President Obama's legacy at the expense of the American people. They fight him on everything to the point of not accomplishing anything. Their behavior is grossly wrong, criminal, and treasonous.

One in three women as well as many men in the Coast Guard are going to fall victim of sexual assault and rape. We had enough of these attacks against our shipmates. Stand with members and veterans of the United States Coast Guard as we work towards eliminating sexual violence in the U.S Coast Guard.

I want the governor to stop playing tea party politics and accept the expansion of Medicaid as it is proposed in the Affordable Care Act.
