I just graduated Hiram last year in 2012. Like many of you I admire the strong sense of friendship and welcoming community found in Henry Hall. It is the kind of sanctuary that I hope will be available for future generations to come as it was available to the generations that came before ours. Let it be known that we do not want Henry Hall closed. Other options should be discussed between Hiram students and faculty to include options that would see the dorm remaining open for future generations of Terriers to enjoy. The fiscal situation of Hiram College is of much importance but so is the cultural and social identity that has existed for decades and across generations of students, faculty, and alumni. Shuttering Henry would not only be closing doors on a dorm but closing the doors on a vibrant, unique aspect of Hiram's history and legacy.

Ive been driving for 27 years and this electronic device has proven not to work in all areas of my life. It has opposite effect of its intention. Humans cannot sleep when they are not tired or when told by a computer. But then are forced to drive a full 11 hrs to get the job done or risk termination. At times bathroom and food breaks are not possible with this system. It is an outrage. The list of problems is too long to mention.

Shame on anyone discouraging voting or making it difficult. If Id's are required they should be accurately issued well before any election. Gov. Scott and the Florida legislature have brought shame on Florida. Other Governors who have done likewise also shame their states and contradict the essence of America.

I think that more than 11,000 people have been killed by guns since December 14, 2012. We really need to address this issue - the 2nd Ammendment refers to a "controlled militia". A soldier needs a high capacity weapon - the average person does not. Guns are for killing or maiming the object of the weapon. They have no other purpose. It seems reasonable to advocate for controls.
