A National Transaction Tax of less than 2 percent can replace the antiquated and ineffecient Income and Sales Tax systems. States are already starting to Jack up regressive sales taxes. It is time to change the way we fund our Government.. Every time a transaction is cleared through a bank or financial institution, automaticly collect a 2 percent tax. No exceptions, no loopholes. and NO MORE INCOME TAX

If sequestration is allowed to go in effect federal food safety officials may be cut from the budget. NO one will be on the job to inspect the beef, pork and chicken in our food supply. Congress must act to stop sequestration.

The City of Merced is currently spending over $185,000 on adding sodium fluoride to the city's tap water. We are asking the Mayor and City Council to stop fluoridating Merced's tap water.

Recent cover articles have included "Extreme Punishers" and "Street Survival." Tell Safeway that by displaying and selling these magazines, especially to minors, they don't reflect your values.

I just graduated Hiram last year in 2012. Like many of you I admire the strong sense of friendship and welcoming community found in Henry Hall. It is the kind of sanctuary that I hope will be available for future generations to come as it was available to the generations that came before ours. Let it be known that we do not want Henry Hall closed. Other options should be discussed between Hiram students and faculty to include options that would see the dorm remaining open for future generations of Terriers to enjoy. The fiscal situation of Hiram College is of much importance but so is the cultural and social identity that has existed for decades and across generations of students, faculty, and alumni. Shuttering Henry would not only be closing doors on a dorm but closing the doors on a vibrant, unique aspect of Hiram's history and legacy.

Ive been driving for 27 years and this electronic device has proven not to work in all areas of my life. It has opposite effect of its intention. Humans cannot sleep when they are not tired or when told by a computer. But then are forced to drive a full 11 hrs to get the job done or risk termination. At times bathroom and food breaks are not possible with this system. It is an outrage. The list of problems is too long to mention.
