I live in a small poor county and recently found out the city employees make a very large salary, more than the city can afford, and this needs to be looked at and questioned by the governor of the state this is going on it.

The Senate Intelligence Committee has never held a public hearing on CIA drone strikes. There are basic facts about the policy the public needs to know to make an informed judgment. Is it true, as the New York Times has reported based on interviews with U.S. officials, that the CIA is counting every "military-age male" killed by a drone strikes as a "militant"? What does this mean for the claim that civilian casualties have been "rare"? If civilian casualties have not been "rare," the public needs to know that. A recent UNC study indicated that public support for military action depends as much on the risk of harm to innocent civilians as it does on the risk of harm to U.S. soldiers.

I am concerned that there are so many guns in our society that often times get in the hands of people who are not responsible. My son was killed 25 years go in Baltimore City, MD for no apparent reason other than someone thought they could. Many more have died in this city and across the nation since. Can't our gov't do something?

More than 4,000 inmates at Kern Valley and North Kern State Prisons are being subjected to high levels of arsenic in their drinking , bathing and cooking water. The levels are at least twice what the US Envionmental Protection Agency has deemed healthy..High levels of arsenic have been linked to many cancers and I believe this abuse violates our US Consitution in regards to "Cruel and Unusual Punishment"

Retired teachers in Texas have not had a raise in over ten years. While the cost of living rises annually, we fall further and further behind financially. The Texas legislature has, over the years, used education monies for a number of other pursuits. We wish to have our retirements considered significant enough to be fully funded.
