I have not been able to chew on the on one side of my face for several years now. Due to cut backs on the dental benefits from medical and medicare. Cut backs from the previous governor. I am on a fixed income like many people on social security. According to the news we now have extra monies for programs. Why not filter some monies back into to the dental benefits for seniors over 55 to help with bridges or dentures, etc... I have talked to many other seniors like me in the same situation who expressed fears of choking because of missing teeth which they can not afford to replace.

I have benefited from years of mental health services. Therefore, I believe all have the right for a 2nd chance, a 3rd chance, through corrective services. Under these Alternatives, non-violent offenders stay in their community for true rehabilitation, rather than being warehoused in jails and prisons. They are intensely supervised by a judge, human service professionals and rehabilitation providers. Make banks sell their houses now. Tons of empty homes, foreclosures, pre-foreclosures, squatters, foreign investors and everything in between are causing the American middle class to rent because they cannot afford it.

In the last session of the Texas legislature, the legislature cut $5.4 million dollars in education funding. This is resulting in the quality of education that our children should have.

This petition is about making sure millions of people living in poverty-stricken South Carolina have actual access to affordable healthcare. Relying on emergency rooms and the like isn't nor has ever worked and it is a drain on the economy and the taxpayers involved in making that economy work. Well, No more - we need healthcare reform in South Carolina and sane people to realize that healthcare is an absolute right, not a business to be bartered around with! After seein Meidcaid get rejected in my state and realizing all the people who could've been helped, South Carolina is on the verge of being on the wrong side of history, yet again. Let's not make this mistake. We need to make this a serious issue, and that begins here.
