Now is the time to tell Governor Brownback that anti-immigrant laws are wrong for Kansas! We need immigration policies that reflect our state’s values of fairness, justice and equality. Passing anti-immigrant laws will hurt the Kansas economy. If all unauthorized immigrants were removed from Kansas, the state would lose $1.8 billion in economic activity, $807.2 million in gross state product, and approximately 11,879 jobs. Implementing harsh laws would cost Kansas billions! Anti-immigrant bills will tear families apart. Family unity is one of the strongest Kansas values. Our current system is separating and damaging 1,000 families daily. We call on Governor Brownback to support and work for a path to citizenship that allows families to stay together. Kansas no longer wants to be labeled as the state that promotes a senseless “self-deportation” approach to this issue. The belief that making daily life miserable for undocumented immigrants is unethical and violates basic human rights! We ask Governor Brownback not to support inhumane immigration laws.

This story is very REAL. It is based on FACTS. The story is about how YOUR tax dollars are being used to victimize and harass a single struggling parent. This petition was started because repeated requests to HUD to relocate the family have been ignored coupled with the landlord's refusal to stop victimizing the family.

This impacts every American who have paid taxes who's money has gone overseas to make war with nations who have large oil reserves.

Our Governor, Paul LePage, has said he will not expand Medicaid as per the Affordable Care Act. We urge him to reverse this decision and accept the expansion which will help Maine's poor and vulnerable.

The goal is to petition appropriate executives at PBS NewsHour and CNN to provide a frequent, powerful and dignified reminder of the large numbers of children and teens killed by firearms each week. The procedure is to follow closely that which the PBS NewsHour uses to honor military personnel killed in Afghanistan. Whereas I have not lost a relative, all Americans are endangered by the ready availability of firearms in the USA.

My petition is for our school Leominster High School to re-look at it's bullying policy. I have witnessed on several occasions bullying that has consistently gone on. It says zero tolerance but it really isn't

Assault Weapons Ban. There is not a person in the world who hasn't been affected by this in one way or another. Stop this nonsense and let's use common sense.

The United States Tax Code has increased to the point where no citizen, accountant or lawyer knows what is in the document(s). It currently stands at tens of thousands of pages and grows every year. People are powerless to try and understand the system and yet are responsible for being in compliance. Through lobbying, the system has also grown to benefit specific industries and companies without any way of policing the practice due to the excessive length of the code.

Gov. McCrory, the power to fundamentally change the health care system in our state is in your hands. By expanding Medicaid, low-income North Carolinians will have access to health coverage, and there is potential to undo the profound health disparities in our state. As it stands, North Carolinians who are uninsured are likelier to develop serious health complications or die younger from diseases that are all too often preventable. By gaining health insurance through Medicaid, we would add health coverage for more than half-a-million North Carolinians within five years who otherwise would remain under insured. We urge Gov. McCrory to implement the Medicaid Expansion for low-income individuals under the Affordable Care Act so that all of our state can remain healthy and strong.

There is increase violence against Jain community in India. Some of the Jain priest were run over by Truck and injured. The Jain temples were vandalized. The main principal of Jain religion is non violence.

We need to help STOP so much senseless killing. Our gun laws need to be strengthened by new tougher restrictions (which, by the way, DO NOT IMPINGE ON OUR 2nd amendment rights).

Telling the Guns Over People Party to end its hypocrisy and urging the President to move forward with responsible gun reforms. The hypocrisy of the GOP social conservatives claim to be pro-life on abortion issues - but don't care how many lives are destroyed by gun violence or care about providing nutrition (feeding children), housing them, providing them clothes, education after they are born. They are pro birth actually and anti life when it comes to gun violence. The NRA no longer represents responsible gun owners but the gun makers. Tell the NRA to support reasonable reforms in background check system etc.
