Nearly forty three trillion dollars of US assets have been deposited in Caribbean banking havens, much of t money held in so called estate and gift planning trusts. On much of this money, income tax has never been paid to our US Treasury, while the beneficiaries consume unimaginable amounts of Federal Government services, both personally and commercially. While advocates for the mega-rich continue to spin the alleged fiscal cliff as an event that threatens us as badly as Dan Quayle's asteroids or the Mayan end of the world, and other fifth columnists such as 'No Labels" try to intimidate and trick moderates and independnts into 'bipartisan' support for a Grand Deal that stnds only to benefit the wealthy and their bought and paid for advocates adn politicians, the rest of us face yet another challenge to our ability to be happy, prosper, and enjoy any of the goods one may win in the US and to have even a minimally decent lifestyle. So why not tax this Ill Gotten Gain at a fair rate? Even a ten percent flat amnesty penalty on it allowing the net money to be on-shored agian would pretty much pay off the deficit?

The Petition targets hate groups who are disrespecting President Obama as our Commander-in-Chief, as a family man and as a person who has demonstrated above and beyond the call of duty with respect to extraordinary global leadership.

Cut back the defense budget where we spend billions to kill children in other countries.... especially third world countries..and use that to help mentall ill patients here in the US.

This affects my parents, and elderly family members. It also affects me; I am 61 and looking forward to any income due me.

US must move toward Banning Guns like Australia did. In US the only way things are done is by putting extreme pressure on politicians. NRA does it against the wish of majority of the people. We must create a stringe lobby group that will understand the language of Washington DC and know how to make them hear our voices. We can waste our energy separately, or create a group to the specific goal of ultimately banning all guns in US.

That is a HIGH PRIORITY OF OUR AMERICAN PEOPLE'S CONCERNS because all of the children are really very very innocent that they killed in Newtown, Conn. Our US government should have lawmakers of Gun Control Restriction with Registration and Insurance! If without gun insurance, someone shoots each other that he/she will be death plenty without parole if possible. We don't want to hear our USA's futures to be screw up and spending costs!

As parents our number one job is to keep our children safe. It is evident as a society we are failing at that. You can change that by signing this petition. We are not against the 2nd amendment but we are against high powered assault weapons. We are against anyone being able to purchase these kind of weapons that can cause massive casualties in a very short period of time. We are against magazines that have more than 10 bullets. We are against loopholes associated with purchasing guns at gun trade shows. The only place these kind of weapons belong is in war zone and our schools, theatres and malls are not a battlefield. No child should ever have to ask "Mommy is it safe to go to school?" and no parent should have to ponder that question.

Please do not cut SSI, Medicare & Medicaid

I have been a single mother since my son was 1 years old. When I went through my divorce I was juggling two jobs to make ends meet. My son's father hasn't held a job no more than 4 months inorder for him to recieve his unemployment and when that runs out he gets a job and then looses it around the same amount of months and this has been going on for years. Due to him loosing his job the courts will either lower his payment to 50 dollars or he doesn't have to pay until he finds a job. If you have a child the non custodial parent should be financially responsible for that child till the child is at the age of 18. It shouldn't become the Custodial Parent to be fully responsible if they didn't make the child by him/her self. Please sign this petition to help Custodial Parents get the support they need for their children.

Marissa Alexander, a 31-year-old mother of three with no prior criminal record, was tired of being beaten by her abusive husband. She fired a warning shot at him in August, 2010, in Florida, where "stand your ground" laws are in place. While more than 13,000 shootings and killings have been pardoned under this law, Florida's justice system denied Mrs. Alexander that right. She was instructed to plead "guilty" to aggravated assault and, as a result, she would be sentenced to three years in prison. Instead, she insisted that she did nothing wrong. When she went to trial, she was found guilty by a jury in only 12 minutes and was sentenced to 20 years in prison! This is an outrage. So many shootings—including those resulting in death—have been exonerated by the "stand your ground" law. Yet, Mrs. Alexander was denied that right, despite petitions, marches, and cries for fairness.

I will be personally affected as the amount I am receiving is very small already.
