President Obama: Keep your campaign promises. Do not cut Social SecurityPresident Obama gave his word multiple times that cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid were off the table in negotiating with Republicans. Despite having the upper hand in negotiations, he has made an offer to John Boehner and the Republicans that is contrary to his repeated promises to the American people. Sign my petition to the President and ask him to be be accountable to his word, and also do what the majority of Americans wish him to do and NOT cut Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. Our seniors deserve better than this. Cutting their benefits in order to protect the wealthiest among us is immoral. President Obama: YOU MUST KEEP YOUR PROMISES!282 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Nancy Russ

no cuts to Social SecurityI am on Social Security Benefits. This program has been paid for by the people that worked for a lifetime and paid into the program year after year. It is not an entitlement program. The cost of living raises help to keep up with the increasing cost of living. The average benefit of 15K is poverty level. Please do not make life more difficult for us seniors.Leave Social Security alone.703 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Thora Wagner

I get social security and am disabled. STOP cutting our benefits!!!I have personally been affected with the zero to a paltry 16 dollar increase, which does nothing for the cost of living and survival. The government needs to stop borrowing and stealing from medicare and social security and start obeying the constitution and allow us disabled people to have our necessary benefits. Quit making us suffer for the wars you start and create, and for the costly mistakes YOU make. We are NOT making those mistakes and choices, so quit making us pay for them~1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ernest Mink

Stop cuts from Social SecurityI do not understand how this can be done and as I am on SS and it does not last me all month it is wrong to cut this benefit for millions of elderly and disabled people. Most of us started working when the minimum wage was around $2.50 so we need our SS and people like Obama and members of Congress who are millionairs they can afford to lose money the elderly can't. Obama can spend and spend like he wants and then he goes after things that people worked for, the put away and so many other things. Why don't you work to prove he is not legal to be president of this great country that he is slowly destroying. I am sorry but the elderly need the SS that they get and let the millionairs pay for Obamas massive spending and vacations not the elderly and poor. Social Security cuts will affects deficit reduction package. The cuts in Social Security are going to affect the majority of Americans and would amount to "a cut of more than 5 percent and more as the years go by." For many retirees this would mean critical cuts to benefits that cover medicine, food, and other daily necessities.404 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Jose Gomez-Martinez

Don't cut Medicare or Social SecuritySocial Security is the sole source of income for me as wall as many others. Please don't allow congress to put SS and Medicare on the chopping block. I have worked for a living since I was 15 years old and have paid into Medicare and SS as long as they have been there. I can no longer work. SS is my sole source of income. I worked for it, paid into it and need it and I need it to not be compromised. I have been without healthcare insurance for almost 10 years. I know the rich folks and the big corporations can afford more taxes. We in the middle class can not. Please don't compromise us in the middle class.151 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Deborah Piatt
