  • Eliminate "15 minutes of fame" syndrome
    Morgan Freeman put out an excellent piece pointing out that these mass killers are looking for notoriety, fame and the recognition which they feel they never have received. Denying them that recognition removes one incentive for committing these horrific crimes.

    Cut Social Security?? I paid into Social Security for nearly 40 years, as did my school employers. I am now out of work, and struggling to make ends meet. I chose to work in independent and church schools. Had I worked elsewhere, I would have a healthy pension to rely upon. Please don't cut what I have paid into and what I need to live on. Thank you.

  • Reduce recidivism, and increase the success of marraiges suffering from Incarceration
    My Husband in incarcerated at Rush City Correctional Facility, MN. He was convicted of 2nd degree murder after an attempt to save his own life. As a result, our family is falling to apart. Maintaining a strong family, and successful Marriage will not only decrease the recidivism rate, but it will also increase the safety of correctional staff, and prevent children from growing up with only one parent. Private Family Visitation programs have proven in other states to have substantial positive effects in the areas I have listed and other areas as well.

    I am a table hunter and Vietnam combat veteran. I see no need for civilians to have access to the tools of war. The potential for misuse is too high. These reforms won't eliminate violence but they will help reduce MASS violence. Thank you
