End Racism plus Sexism Against Women of ColorThe Declaration of Independence says there will be for "Liberty and Justice for All" but women of color have been marginalized and made invisible at the bottom of our society since 1776. Only 44 women of color have ever been in Congress (1 in Senate; 43 in House of Representatives) and not yet in every state legislature. We will be unrepresented until the rest of the nation does the right thing.9 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Suzanne Brooks

President, Congress, Senate: End all wars now! Keep our money at home!We all are having economic problems because of so much money going to support the wars. Many have lost family members either in the war or because of suicide committed because the returning servicemen could not deal with what they saw. Many more are paraplegics or quadriplegics, having lost legs and arms. This cost is incalculable as most of these men (and a few women) will never be able to do the jobs they had hoped to perform. It is time to end the money going to Israel too. This money here at home could prevent hunger and homelessness. It is time to keep our money here at home!5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Sherrie Miranda

Investigate Voter Supression in the 2012 ElectionLobbying groups and political strategists have pushed changes to voting laws in numerous state legislatures which sought to make it more difficult for certain portions of the electorate to cast their ballots. Disenfranchisement tactics included voter ID laws, shortened early voting hours and days, voter purges and illegal voter registration practices. The apparently coordinated tactics, under the guise of fighting voter fraud, were designed to influence the outcome of the 2012 election by suppressing the turnout of specific voting groups. We call on our leaders in the White House and Congress to fully investigate this threat to democracy, prosecute those found to have acted illegally and make legislative changes to prevent this type of abuse from happening in the future.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Michelle Blowers

COLORADANS FOR FILIBUSTER REFORMTo restore the democratic process in the Senate by reducing the gridlock, we petition our Senators to reform the filibuster rules and to restore majority rule for legislative initiatives at the beginning of the new congress. This process began last year by House District 2 in Denver, and they're now being joined by like-minded progressives across the state of Colorado.496 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Halisi Vinson

Pre-Employment Credit Check: Unfair PracticeIn this time of struggle for so many Americans, a credit check does not offer a correct reflection of how an applicant will perform their occupational duties. I have worked HARD for 35 years, and now have to change my occupation due to a work injury almost 2 years ago. My credit has suffered horribly during this time, and although I am well qualified for several occupations, I continue to get letters of decline after prospective employers use my credit as a reference. I know I am not alone in this situation; whether job loss is from injury or business foreclosure, credit checking is not a fair practice.17 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Keelyn Eggan

Classic Car Friendly Insurance LawNevada Insurance regulations require any car with license plates to be fully insured year round. This is stupid for classic cars that are only driven a few times per year to car shows. Consequently, classic car owners either don't drive their cars or they license and insure them at out of State addresses to get around this unrealistic law. Nevada is out of touch with the rest of the country where "cruise nights" generate millions of dollars of local business revenue. Time to Change this insurance law for classic car owners in Nevada. This law will save classic car owners thousands of dollars that they can spend to grow the economy and not line the pockets of insurance companies- who now get money for cars that are rarely driven. If they do license and insure their cars in Nevada, the extra cost per year is almost $100 EACH TIME YOU DRIVE YOUR CAR TO 5 car shows. This stupid law-that makes it too expensive to drive your classic cars a few times per year - has prevented the development of "cruise nights" in Nevada-and the State's economy is loosing millions of dollars of economic stimulation.39 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Bob Brandys
