Donald Trump displays a lack of respect for the elected President of the United States. I do not think it is in good taste that a natiional TV network such as NBC to continue to support him as a brand. There are plenty of other celebrity brands or show platforms that can replace Mr. Trump and his show.

Many single mothers did not choose to be single mothers. We had no choice: we were fleeing domestic violence to protect ourselves and our children. Only to find out that we were bound by child custody laws that allow abusers to continue to exert control over us and our children. This issue affects American mothers domestically and internationally, both of whom are loyal Democratic voters.

Congress is no longer working for the people. Americans need to pass a constitutional amendment limiting our Congress to one six year term

The petition urges President Obama to add some of the best experienced politicians of the Party of Lincoln, the old Republican Party, to his cabinet. It would strengthen the concept of the Democratic umbrella and add to this administration's diversity. We need to act quickly as cabinet positions will soon be filled. I have a personal commitment to diversity as my late husband was of African and Native American descent. I am of Scandinavian and Dutch descent. Today we live in a global village where all races and ethnic groups who share common beliefs should unite for the greater good.

Elections are over and the American people have spoken. I do not think that Medicare and Social Security are entitlement issues. I have paid into them all my working career so I would have a safety net when I retire and not have to worry about privatization or vouchers to get health care when it is least likely I will be able to afford it. Republicans in the House need to wake up. YOU DO NOT HAVE A MANDATE. The PRESIDENT, BARACK OBAMA, was GIVEN A MANDATE OVERWHELMINGLY and we the people do not want him OBSTRUCTED IN HIS VISION FOR OUR COUNTRY. Elections are coming up for some Republicans in the House. We can finish the job and make sure Democrats take those seats so that the People's Agenda can move forward. My promise will be to work hard to help make that happen should Republicans not work toward resolving problems for the American people and not for the Hard Right Conservative wing of their Party. Stop the OBSTRUCTIONISM or WE THE PEOPLE WILL.

I spent 3 weeks working with the Votecorps in Virginia and saw the difficulty in getting to the polls for those who have to fit in this civic duty with making a living. The larger the number of voters turning out, the better our democracy. We are presently ranked around 40th in the world in % of registered voters voting. Some of this is no doubt due to apathy and cynicism, but much can be said for the inconvenience of our system.

My daughter went to law school and incurred huge debt. She works for a small firm and does not work for a high paying corporate firm. She does this to be there for her children while her husband, a teacher, is incurring expenses pursuing a PhD. They will be in student loan debt forever if they don't get relief. Please do not forget this segment of the population while addressing student loan forgiveness.

Republicans need to know that you will not bend to extortion, as you have in the past. If you won't buckle or compromise on this promise, it will make you more effective for the next four years.
