It's Time to deal with a very serious subject that are children are taking their own lives over! We as parents and legislatures need to do more for our children's safe passage on their ways, to and from school! Children shouldn't have to feel threatened by anyone in the name of trying to go to school, and get an education!

The members of the United States House of Representative and the members of the United States Senate shall pass no law that they are not subject to.

In a state with one of the highest rates of unemployment in the U.S., I have seen family, friends and neighbors struggle since 2008, enduring lowered wages, lost benefits, housing foreclosures, and too often losing hope for the future. The Constitution is the bedrock upon which the United States is built, yet it seems that many of those running this country have never read it. Comments by some of the current members of Congress are downright scary. Last year I saw the test for becoming a naturalized citizen. It's not easy. I'm guessing there are many in Congress, who could not pass this test. Since people writing the laws should actually have a clue about the country they want to govern, I'm proposing an amendment stating that those who want to run for Federal office must be able to pass this test.

Congress makes too many decisions that put Congressional representatives above the people they represent. They would vote more honorably if they had the same vested interest in the laws they pass as we do, especially as regards health insurance.

Some candidates, like Brooklyn Park City Council member Peter Crema and others in NW Minneapolis Suburbs are featured at a rally with a monster truck for conservative candidates to "crush" the "big lie" of Global Warming, Socialism and Obama Care. It's time to stop the angry rhetoric and embrace science and most Americans.

As a citizen, I affirm freedom of religion. As a Christian, I believe a literal interpretation of the book of Genesis would place the beginning of life at the first breath -- at birth. A medical interpretation of the beginning of life might focus on the possibility of higher-order thought, given that a brain-dead person can be declared legally dead. Beliefs about the beginning of life--whether one chooses the moment an egg is fertilized, the detection of a fetal heartbeat, "quickening", fetal brain development, viability outside the womb, birth--are religious beliefs, and should not be imposed upon the public indiscriminately.
