There are just too many people struggling to get back into the working world. They need a break. My family, my siblings, and children of my relatives, have been greatly affected by the loss of their job, and those trying to get their first job. Some have managed with jobs that are paying them below minimum wage, and naturally are only able to survive by cutting back (not driving their vehicle, riding a bike to work, much less food, grooming needs, etc) barely able to pay the bills and getting charged late fees on top of it all. I'm on Soc.Sec.Disability, due to my spinal trouble; and therefore am able to survive, but no extra from month to month; until I can claim my small pension. Which leaves me helpless to offer assistance to my adult-children. It's sad to watch so many people who want to be responsible, but cannot find anyone to give them a chance. In this difficult time, we need to keep the hiring process simple; the college requirment should be dropped for at least a year, to help people get back on their feet again.

We, the Citizens of the United States, demand to cease and desist all active subprime mortgages by enacting a mandatory law forbidding such. All banks, financial institutions, and mortgage servicers must remove the qualification process and place all subprime mortgage holders into standard fixed rate mortgage. It is clear the “BIG Banks” received “bailout funding” and failed to pass the concessions on to mortgage holders, denying millions of modifications, which has proven the intention of the “BIG Banks.” The government authorities have also failed to control or enforce the laws that they created. Therefore, the time has come to dismantle this racketeering enterprise created by the “BIG Banks,” holding them accountable for their intentional unwillingness, and deceitful modification practices and procedures. This behavior is unacceptable. They need to be stopped to stabilize the economy and our neighborhoods. The time to take action is now.

We limit the terms for our President. We should also limit the terms for Senators, and Congressmen/women. Some of these people get into office and plant themselves there. They get re-elected over and over, but they soon lose touch with what the people really want. We need to get people in these offices that care more about the American people, than gaining power, prestige, and money. If the Senators and Congressmen/women we have now are any example; WE NEED TO CLEAN HOUSE! For the past four years nothing has been accomplished because Republicans and Democrats alike have cared more about their personal agendas than what is BEST for ALL AMERICANS. I bet if we based their pay on how well the economy is doing, we'd have job growth, cheaper medical care, lower gas prices, etc... We need tighter regulations on the Senate and Congress, after all they do work for us, the American people.

GMOs are dangerous to human survival. They can cause allergies, tumors, organ failure, and more. My husband has chrons, which is also a side effect of eating GMOs along with various other stomach problems. The 3rd generation of rats fed GMOs were sterile, so what would it do to people? Plus, if it crossbreads with non GMO plants, EVERYTHING will become GM and we will have no option.

We need to eliminate the rights of corporations to financially back political candidates. The two major parties spent nearly 1.75 BILLION DOLLARS vying for the presidency in 2012. Of that colossal number 278 MILLION DOLLARS came from individual and organization Super PACs. Undisclosed donor funds ("dark money") is estimated at 400 MILLION DOLLARS. Because of the Supreme Court's 2010 decision on Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, unions, corporations and nonprofit organizations are allowed to give unlimited funds toward their choice for president of the United States. This Supreme Court decision all but eliminates the democratic process. It must be vetoed by the people.
