• Voting Rights in Ohio
For months, Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted has personally acted to restrict early voting in counties with large Democratic populations—casting tie-breaking votes to limit voting to weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in urban areas like Franklin County, where in previous elections 82% of early voters did so on nights or weekends. Now, Secretary of State Husted said he is considering limiting early voting hours across the state in the run-up to the November election, and will "be listening to local boards of elections' concerns on this issue. We believe this is a violation of the rights of voters who are not able to comply with this voting window.

  • Let diplomacy and sanctions on Iran work
As the drumbeat for war with Iran grows louder, and some call on the President to abandon negotiations and diplomacy, we are on the verge of another war in the Middle East. Tell our elected officials to let diplomacy and sanctions work to prevent Iran from going nuclear.

  • Keep expanded early voting in Richland County
The Secretay of State in Ohio is threatening to curtail early and expanded voting to the citizens of Richland County. This will lead to low voter turnout because of the restricted hours available to vote.

  • Stop Ethanol
It is insane that we are using a food product to fuel our cars with.Ethanol is an inefficient fuel and contributes to air and ground water pollution. It lowers fuel economy by anwhere from 5 to 40% depending on the ethanol content of the fuel and causes damage expensive parts in you engine. It doesn't reduce our dependence on imported because of the large amount of oil that goes into the growing making and shipping it..Corn uses a massive amount of petroleum based fertilizer, pesticides and fertilizer to grow it. Cellulosic ethanol is very expensive and many years away as no efficient way to make it has been developed. But now biobutanol is on the verge of mass production. Biobutanol is made from farm waste and other biomass waste such as wood chips and other waste products. Biobutanol has 95% of the energy content of gasoline and since it burns more completely than gasoline you will end up fuel economy better than gasoline alone instead of the penalty of fuel economy that ethanol has. Another side effect is a reduction in emmisions.

  • Uniform Early Voting Hours in Ohio
Early voting is being restricted in my county (Franklin) and many other counties around Ohio. In counties that vote for the GOP early voting is still being allowed. I want uniformity in the rules which allow early voting.

  • Aboblish Special Congressional Health Care
Congress is allowed to create a special health care insurance program for itself that only they have access to. They should be forced to buy the same health care insurance available to the citizens whom they govern wtih no special provisions for them alone.

  • Don't Restrict Early Voting Hours
I'm concerned that early voting hours are being restricted to weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Many work during those hours, and choose to vote before or after work -- or even on weekends. Voting is a basic right in our country, and should not be restricted. I am petitioning the Board of Elections to make voting as accessible as possible.

  • Programs for disabled adults
After many years of being on a wait list to participate in a program for disabled adults in Casselberry,FL my son is already 30 years old and out of the list because we had a family emergency and left the state for two years. I think our disabled citizens deserve more respect from our government which say there are no funds for more adult programs in Central Florida. I think it is not fair to our growing community of disabled adults in the state of Florida.

  • PAY IT BACK
The surplus monies that workers and employers paid into the Social Security Trust Fund were borrowed and used by the government for other purposes. Now they want to revise and reduce Social Security benefits that we, the taxpayers, have already paid for. Before there are any plans to revamp the future of Social Security or modify benefits, the Federal government must first PAY BACK all of the surplus monies it borrowed from the Social Security Trust Fund.
