  • It's time for sane gun laws
    I'm petitioning the enacting of gun laws that will do a better job in keeping guns out of the hands of those with mental issues that should preclude them from purchasing or owning guns--something needs to be done NOW. I'm a survivor of a shooting similar to the one in Colorado. Mine was in Salt Lake City in a mall called Trolley Square--lots of people died there too.

    Veterans who trained or stationed at Ft McClellan were exposed to highly toxic agents while there! I personally trained there 10/79-4/80. Veterans are getting sick and there have been deaths!     I would like to see a ammendment pass by the State of Florida for all Seniors of the age 65 + and over should be issured Free bus passes to ride the bus locallly and have the convience of good bus transportation. I live in Saint Cloud Florida, and I noticed that there is limited bus transportation locally to get to where I like to go. There aren't any buses that ride up and down Highway 192 conviently to go to the stores on this hightway and even to Disneyland.

    The Federal Reserve has been bailing out the banks by buying lots of toxic debt (derivatives, etc.) from the Big Banks to the tune of trillions and trillions of dollars. Why shouldn't it instead be buying up the mortgages of people about to be foreclosed on and students who hold huge debt but have no job?.The Fed can even make money on the deal by charging between 1%-5% interest since its own cost of money is only about .075 or so.
