This is urgently needed now because without this, we cannot come together. We must work together and solve our existential problems. We need to come together and see the Oneness and work for the good of all and let go of some of those individualistic points of view. What happens to one of us happens to all of us. I have watched Trump lie and bully and dodge for 3 1/2 years, and turn the truth on its head for fun. But this is our country, and I refuse to let him use force on citizens and frighten us into complying with policy and behavior that is morally and legally wrong. Too many police are using their power to commit murder. Trayvon Martin, Tamir Rice and George Floyd are just three examples of police brutality resulting in death. There are so many more deaths of innocent people who died at the hands of those who are suppose to protect and serve and something needs to be done to stop it from happening. These poor innocent people and their families are dealing with tragedy when they don't have to.

It is important that we follow suit to where the city, state and nations are going, in the wake on George Floyd’s Death we would be Proud to have a Black Lives Matter in his honor and to all those that have lost there lives to police brutality.

By his misuse of military personnel and weapons President Trump committed three impeachable offenses in violation of the First Amendment of the US Constitution: 1) Suppression of peaceful protesters expressing their right to freedom of speech; 2) interference with the people's guaranteed right to assemble; and 3) obstruction of citizens' acts of petitioning the Government for redress of grievances.

It would show that we as a nation is changing to give great people of America a voice. It would be a great magnitude and a positive impact to our nation! It will show we as a nation is willing to change for the better.

Our students and families deserve to see us take an active role in dismantling the racism that persists in our institutions, not passively condemn "the current state." If we are anti-racist, then racism and racists have no place in the education of our students or any students.

We, the petitioning residents of the District of Columbia, don't want our city militarized, as we are now witnessing in response to protests to the murder of George Floyd. We who live in Washington, DC, take seriously our rights to free speech, free movement, and equal justice for all.

FSUSD has known about sexual abuse allegations/reports and have not acted to the best of their ability. They failed to meet their own guidelines and in return—left victims facing their abusers daily.

In light of current events it renews the need to call for police body cameras. We, the undersigned, join Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages and Legislator Siela Bynoe in urging Nassau County Executive Laura Curran to make body cameras a priority in ongoing police union contract negotiations. Body cameras are used by law enforcement throughout this country and creates transparency by providing a factual record of what occurred in all encounters between Police Officers and civilians. We understand that Minority Leader Abrahams and Legislators Bynoe and Solages secured funding for a PILOT program for body cameras in 2014, and that this program was blocked because the former County Executive had not included the police unions in the conversations about the program. Therefore, we respectfully request that Nassau County Executive Laura Curran and her administration make body cameras a part of the ongoing collective bargaining negotiations with the Police Benevolent Association and Superior Officers Association.

Because these are the methods and mindsets behind racist cops who think they can brutalize minorities without impunity. If they are made to pay for it ..... monetarily or otherwise.. they may think twice. I am in the media..... and have written so many stories about officers and deputies shooting and killing minority "suspects" without hesitation. But because it wasn't caught on camera... they get away with it.. un-investigated and unquestioned.

Scientific evidence and facts were used to develop a clear policy that demonstrates his true concern for the people of our state and the rest of our country. He understands the negative economic impact upon the city of Charlotte as well as our state yet he put the health and welfare of our state above the money.
