As a groomer for over 17 years, I have been taking care of others’ pets and making sure they are safe and comfortable. Regular nail trims ensure dogs can walk properly without damage to the paw, while trimming between the pads allows more traction while walking (which is especially important for our older pets!). Often times, groomers will find lumps, bumps, and skin issues owners may miss. During this time, pets are keeping their owners company and providing comfort. Having a regular grooming appointment keeps pups safe and healthy, and makes their human and pet happy! MAKE GROOMING ESSENTIAL!

Hair salons are not an essential business. The only way we are going to get the corona virus under control and prevent the spread of it, is to stay home. Opening salons prematurely is only going to make things worse for the stylists, the customers and the community. Having your roots colored or a fresh cut is not a necessity.

Social distancing in salons is next to impossible. While we do have strict sterilization and sanitation laws that we adhere to, the general public does not. Reopening the salons puts all licensed workers and their guests at extreme risk, not to mention anyone that comes into contact with any of these people. It is very fair to think that reopening salons of any kind could in effect significantly contribute to another spike in the number of people with covid 19. No one's health is worth risking to get a haircut, or color, or wax, or nails done. All of that is not essential and can wait until it truly is safe. Please support health!

Because we are on week 4 of no pay. We are more sanitary than grocery stores, wal-mart, liquor stores etc. We can take all necessary precautions in order to provide the safety of not only our clients but ourselves. If our governor and his sidekick can have a double standard we can reopen for business with the safety of our community in mind. The reality of it is people are giving house calls to survive. 5.2 million people have filed for unemployment. Crashing the economy is not the answer.

The survival of the independent cosmetology professionals is at risk. We are facing a grave financial hardship. Also believe that our profession helps our clients improve mental wellness with feeling good about there appearence.

We need to go back to work

Physical health by way of indoor/outdoor exercise and recreation is essential to keeping people physically and mentally well.

To relieve the financial burden this has created on small business such as ourselves. We need to be looked at as essential not just for us but our clients well being and mental health we provide.

This time is difficult enough with social distancing and not being able to see loved ones. The concern to be having is to keep people as sane, safe and healthy as possible. The elimination to state stores could cause sanity and safety to be at stake. Everyone is doing their part to social distance, wear masks/gloves when leaving their homes, and follow the CDC guidelines. This is a time to get creative with theme nights with those you live with during quarantine. For example,Taco Tuesday with margaritas really helps distract adults with the reality of what is going on and helps relieve the stress of it all. A glass of wine really does take off the edge. Now more than ever people need to find ways to entertain themselves at home and make the best of it.

It is the survival of independent artists. As a small business, we are all at risk of financial hardship. Each artist is trained, and have proper knowledge of CPR, BBP, and First Aid and already practice the proper sanitation and safety methods of those that is used in and health care or hospitals. It would help us all, in such trying times. Thank you!
