Speedworld has been an Arizona motorsports icon for more than 50 years and is in jeopardy of being shut down by Maricopa County for minor zoning violations, some of which that were made more than 20 years ago. Maricopa County alleges that Speedworld is in violation of grading/drainage requirements and use permit violations that were implemented long before current owner Dan Mathews took over the business. Speedworld is not trying to avoid coming into compliance with the County's requests, we are only asking to be able to keep our doors open while the changes are being made. If forced to close it's doors during the process, Speedworld would be put out of business completely due to the cost of the changes that the County is seeking. We're calling on Speedworld customers and motorsports fans around the country to raise awareness on what this track means to Arizona and those across the country. Don't let Arizona's longest running motorsports park be shut down due issues that can easily be worked through by Maricopa County and Speedworld Raceway Park together.

Until last week, we were on the cusp of a major victory to restore Clean Water Act protections to nearly 25,000 miles of streams and many wetlands in Maine. President Obama and the Army Corps of Engineers were about to issue the new protections. These streams and wetlands feed our rivers and the drinking water for nearly half a million Mainers. But the House of Representatives, led by members doing the bidding of Big Oil and other polluters, voted last week to block these clean water protections, and the Senate is expected to vote on the issue next week. The vote is expected to be VERY close, and Senators Snowe and Collins appear to be on the fence so please sign the petition today.

"Sugar in the Raw"(tm) a popular "natural" product from Maui is created using controversial agricultural practices. Most egregiously, HC&S (the company that makes it) harvests their sugarcane by burning it. With 35,000 acres on a small island, this results in a massive release of CO2 and choking smoke which is damaging residents' health. Sugarcane can be harvested without burning (as is done in most of the world) and we would like HC&S to stop cane burning now.

Finding justice for an innocent woman.

The minimum wage for waiters is $2.13/hour,and that doesn't cover the taxes,and has been the same for the past 20 years. We also have to tip out to cover buss,host,and food runners,and do not receive over time pay/holiday pay.

Since President Obama took office no job bills supported by partisan vote has been signed into law in a recession. I'm calling out all members of congress who voted against job bills in the presence of high unemployment rate.

Put a limit on excessive CEO compensation so that companies can not pay their executives more than ten times what they pay their lowest paid employee.

The filibuster and the 60% requirement in the Senate to pass legislation is a blatant usurpation of our democracy! It has become a perpetual and pathetic excuse for inaction on both sides of the isle within the United States Senate. Americans who value the democratic principal of majority rule should demand that the filibuster be abolished immediately.

Our U.S. food supply is dangerous. Crops are genetically altered. Packaged and processed foods have taken over our diets. This has lead to obesity along with super sized portions and fast foods. We need to eat from the earth. We need to reeducate our citizens.

Eric Holder is on record saying he would stop DEA raids on medical marijuana dispensaries and has not delivered on this promise. His raids target people in compliance with state law. Tell Eric Holder to stop using the DEA to conduct unjust raids inconsistent with the laws of the states in which they occur.

We need to stop playing God and abolish the death penalty nationally.
