Due to the spiraling cost of health care and the coninuing coverage reduction of it for goverment and private sector jobs, I propose that all health care for any elected leader be eliminated. They can buy their coverage on the open market like all self employed busness owners & many of the private citizens. This would be a great cost savings for the American tax payers.I belive this would help drive the cost of health care down due to the fact that NOW our leaders have skin in the game to lower health care costs not only for us the American tax payer, but themselves.

People can do a better job with real time governance and make the congress as Museum. Real time governance will be online voting system, as such, each congressional seat would take vote for each legislation and budget with simple majority in the constituency and would be counted as 1 vote. Each state with 51% or more vote will get 2 senate vote or else it would be 1 in favor and 1 in against.

PA Governor Corbett has slashed educational spending and proposes to eliminate the farmland preservation program. He has already promised Shell that the PA taxpayers would pay to clean up the site for its ethylene cracking plant and give it millions in tax credits every year. Now he wants to provide an additional $1.6B to Shell. Tell the Governor to collect the taxes and fund the vital programs. End the corporate welfare.

My son was abusing drugs as a teenager. When the Department of Children Family Services got involved with my family, I thought great my son is finally going to get help. Except I didn't know the law of the State of California that allows our children ages 13 to 17 even if they are abusing narcotics, alcohol or marijuana can choose if they want to go to Inpatient Drug Rehabilitation. As a parent I could not force my son into Drug Rehab. The Department of Children and family Services could not force my son into Drug Rehab. Drug Court for families and children could not force my son into a Drug Rehab. A judge is the only one if he or she feels the child is going to die. How long do parents like me have to suffer trying to help our children out of drug addiction?

I think we all can agree that Dolores Huerta, the UFW’s co-founder and president of the Dolores Huerta Foundation is an exemplary role-model of a good American. Dolores has spent her life sacrificing to advocate for workers, immigrants, and women’s rights. She has a fierce determination to help the impoverished and make the world a better place. She has received numerous awards for her courageous community service and fittingly enough on May 29th President Obama awarded her the highest civilian honor in the United States, the Presidential Medal of Freedom. It was a very proud moment for all who believe in the power of nonviolent social change. However, nationally syndicated talk show host Rush Limbaugh showed his true colors by using this award as an excuse to go on the attack against women—again—by disparaging Dolores receiving it. On Russ’ May 30th Show he said, "The Presidential Medal of Freedom is now being rendered meaningless. It’s just a political award. That’s all it is. It’s been politicized. It’s another great tradition, institution down the tubes. " Not only that but he insultingly said, "As a young adult, Huerta taught school—though she never had an education degree—until 1955, when, as a single mother of seven children—she now has eleven—she launched her career as a political activist. " How typical of Rush. Scorning Dolores for being a single mother instead of recognizing that this amazing—and college educated woman—raised a remarkable family (Dolores’ children include a doctor, lawyer, teacher, chef, artist, executive director, etc) while pursuing a fierce determination to help people.
