  • Federally Funded Elections
Let's get the money out of politics. It's no doubt that our entire political system has been corrupted by the vast sums of money flowing through every campaign. It's time to stop it! Our politicians obviously pander to their special interest groups and vote on issues, not for the benefit of the country, but rather to "keep the cash rolling in". Let's create a system where anyone can donate any amount they choose, but the money doesn't go to fund a specific campaign, but rather into a pool where every campaign will receive the same amount for the same position. Another words, the Presidential camaign, which this time around will probably surpass two billion dollars being spent, each candidate will receive the same amount to fund their campaign. No outside donors, no emails trying to raise cash, no fund raisers, no dinners. Just the money provided by this pool. Maybe in this way, our politicians will care more about their constituents and less about their donors. Maybe we will even get something accomplished in congress.

  • Boycott Trump Advertisers
Even conservative columnist George Will recognizes Donald Trump as a "bloviating ignoramus" who has used television celebrity to intrude into American politics. We citizens should not permit him to use the public airwaves to spread malicious and misleading lies about President Obama. The most effective way to stop the lies will be to convince NBC and its advertisers that the public will not watch his program or patronize its advertisers so long as Trump continues to spread distortion and misinformation in an effort to influence electoral politics.

  • Stop With The Drones, Already!
The President is conducting a War on Terrorism that uses inaccurate, unethical and inhumane drone strikes, that are killing too many civilians along with their intended terrorist targets. There are better, more effective and moral ways to deal with terrorists, that by the way don't create future terrorists from the friends and family of the civilians killed in drone attacks. Please ask the President to stop his current use of drones in the War on Terrorism.

  • Stop Ohio from Executing Abdul Awkwal a Seriously Mentally Ill Man
Ask Republican Gov. Kasich to vote his faith -- granting a man on death row a chance to have his case heard before a court of law. Abdul Awkal believes that he directed the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, advised CIA Directors and Presidents, and warned the government about 9/11. In reality, Mr. Awkal is a seriously mentally ill individual on Ohio’s death row for the 1992 murders of his estranged wife Latife Awkal and Mahmoud Abdul-Aziz. No one sanctions murder - any murder - which is why the state should not put a mentally ill man to death. This afternoon, May 30, Governor John Kasich denied executive clemency. Without some type of intervention, the State of Ohio will execute Mr. on June 6, 2012. A psychiatrist recently determined that Mr. Awkal does not rationally understand the reason for his execution because he believes his execution is being directed by the CIA. It is unconstitutional to execute someone as mentally ill as Mr. Awkal. Mr. Awkal’s lawyers are back in court trying to get Mr. Awkal’s execution halted, but time is running out. Governor Kasich, we ask that you grant Mr. Awkal a reprieve so that this life or death issue can be put squarely before a court. What can you do? CALL the Governors Office: 614 466-3555 SHARE this petition with anyone who believes that the mentally ill should not be executed.

  • Take The Profit Out Of War
If the President and Congress believes that the United States must go to war, then EVERYBODY, business and citizens, must contribute and do their share. Congress should pass a law whereby all businesses that have contracts providing for any goods or services that have anything to do with the military, must only charge the government the actual cost of the goods and service, and this policy will be in place for the duration of the war. Any business and CEO, or citizen that over charges the government will be prosecuted as a "War Profiteer" and subject to a fine of 25 times the worth of the company and a 25 year term in prison.

  • Government Officials: They Get Paid What We Get Paid
The United States of America is a Democracy, and the people we vote for represent US. If they would truly like to represent the people, then they should, at most, receive a salary that averages what people in their districts earn. It would cut costs and reduce debt.

  • Congress Shall Not Receive A Salary Greater Than Any Service Memeber!
Congress gets away with murder and a great pay check for it. While they murder our ecomony and don't do the job of the people they keep our troops begging for medicine, equipment and insurance for family and self. All congressional members should have no better than the people they represent and our troops in harms way. We are their employers, they are not ours.

  • Prosecute Big Banks--Enforce Riegle-Neal

  • Double the budget for the NASA
This is an investment in science, education, the economy, our nations infrastructure, and good jobs. All the money NASA spends goes towards jobs, education, and economic activity here in the United States. And it is proven that every dollar spent on the space program has a multiplier effect of boosting economic activity of at least eight to one.
