    Aside from the inhumane slaughter America's horses have suffered in our past slaughter houses that are thought by many to have been "humane", slaughter houses are costly to tax payers and do not generate taxes, as most are foreign-owned. After a decade of Mayor Bloomberg running the schools on a corporate reform agenda, only half of White students, half of Asian students, and only 13% of Black and Latino students graduate ready for college. Yet a new campaign supported by hedge fund managers and corporate CEOs has committed to raise $50 million to continue those same reforms. We refuse to allow Mayor Bloomberg's failed policies a fourth term.

  • Stop Republican voter purge!
    In 2000 Florida's Republican governor and secretary of state quietly instituted a voter purge that removed over 13,000 eligible voters from the rolls. These were mostly young and minority voters who usually voted Democratic. Bush won the state, and the presidency, with a little over 500 votes. Had these eligible voters not been prevented from voting, Gore would have won and we would probably have not lost thousands in a useless war.
