  • Animal Offender List
If someone is caught abusing animals and they "may be" sent to jail, when they get out who's to say they won't do it again? And again? There are human offender lists, why not show the same compassion and love toward our best friends?

  • Bleeding California Dry
Corporate tax breaks are bleeding California dry. These loopholes are costing the state billions each year, providing no benefit to our economy. Before California makes any more cuts to schools, public safety and vital services that have already been decimated in recent years, California's corporate tax loopholes must be eliminated.

  • Ask Google to be Family Friendly
Google recently started closing accounts of family members who are younger than 13. After paying for advertising where Google email accounts are demonstrated as a modern form of scrapbooking to capture, store, and transfer on to your child, Google "Chrome: Dear Sophie" for more information, they are now deleting family scrapbooks just like a house fire would. Countless children are experience shock and horror everyday, after innocently entering their age (as they honestly enter the requested information from their "trusted" email provider), only to be cut off forever from what they thought was theirs. Feelings of anger, frustration, and loss are common in the family when years of personal communications, photo's, and conversations are lost in an instant!

  • Walmart asked to Sell American made Products
My petition is about forcing big stores to return to selling more Made in the USA products and less foreign made stuff.A lot of what we have to buy now is inferior quality and looks cheap.By requesting this change in business practices,it would be necessary to get factories up and running so Walmart would be the forerunner in getting the American people back to work..I am tired of not being able to find a SINGLE item in the store that is made in the USA.No wonder we are in such deep trouble.

  • Say "NO" to Wal-Mart
Wal-Mart has contacted the City of Bella Vista, Arkansas in an effort to put a Wal-Mart in Bella Vista. The sight for this would be accross the street from Allens Foods which has been in business for 13 years. Wal-Mart has already put many privately owned businesses out of business here in Northwest Arkansas.

  • Save our Cal Grants
The California Grant the (Cal Grant) offered to California residents attending universities may be in jeopardy. Governor Jerry Brown is considering reducing the grant by almost 44 percent, from a maximum of $9,708 a year to maximum of approximately $5,700. The Cal Grant changes being considered affect me personally and tens of thousands of other low income students attending independent, nonprofit higher education institutions like Loyola Marymount University (L.M.U.). The loss or reduction of the grant would be significant enough to make tens of thousands of students unable to return to the California universities in school year 2012-13. Brown is hoping the cuts will save the state money, but this will not be the case. Students who are forced to leave private institutions will most likely attend state schools, which are already reaching capacity, and could ultimately cost the state more money. This is because the state subsidy [the amount the state pays per student] for Cal Grant students attending institutions like L.M.U. is substantially lower than the total subsidy provided to the Cal Grant students in the UC and CSU systems.

  • Morality versus money
Our national policy is to lessen the impact of global warming. Decreasing the burning of fossil fuels is part of that policy. By encouraging the export of coal to China we encourage the continued use of what is really a toxic fuel. Not only is the burning of coal bad for the citizens of China, but from that burning, CO2, Sulfuric acid, nitrous oxide and mercury will drift as airborne pollutant to the West coast. I am not sure that the increase in jobs is worth the increase in the hazards to our health and that of the environment.
