We need to change the "Entitlements" of those who are serving and who have served in Congress to be in keeping with the majority of the people they serve. Will they have the courage to do the right thing?

When Cities , States , Counties and courts profit from fines , forfitures and quotos it turns them into Hi-Jackers and Hy-Way men instead of public servants. The idea that the other side is worse and so you can support a candidate who turned out to be a protector of war criminals , who pressured other govts. to not even hold hearings that would have implicated the republican administration here , who wanted NDAA , is not how in the long run we will have a better country .

The American voting system is clumsy and outdated. The success of our democracy hinges on our vote (the symbol of our voice). The sooner we upgrade our election process to something more sophisticated, like Borda Count, where we give points to each candidate according to our preference and the candidate with the most points, wins, The sooner we will see real hope and change. This allows alternative parties to compete and the election cannot be gamed by party splits or dirty politics. It is because of the ineffectiveness of our election process that we have ineffective government. Hearing about another small child (Joel Morales) here in NY City - hanging himself due to the bullying of fellow students was heart wrenching. (And while I find the poor parenting that "allows" a child to treat another so poorly reprehensible.) I think a more positive approach would be to get Politicians, Pro-Athletes, Movie Stars (the new Spider Man was bullied) to all wear (bright blue - the color of a blue sky) - T-shirts, or hats, or post on their Twitter Feeds etc. - the phrase: "No Bullies" on a single day every year. For the President, Mayor Bloomberg, etc. - to make a National "No Bullies!" day. And for it to be celebrated in all schools. Shame these boys and girls who think this type of abuse is acceptable. Make them conformists and hypocrites at the least. Make their parents think about something other than themselves at least one day a year. In the same country where we can cheer the you-tube video of (Matt) running around a school field 2 times, a small boy in NYC hung himself because he saw no hope! We the adults are who should be ashamed and stand up and do something!
