The Eugene, OR City Mgr. budgeted to add artwork to hang of office walls -whilst at the same time decided to close the city's Lane County Animal Shelter. The money spent for the art work would keep the Shelter open for a whole year. The Mayor and City Council needs to change these budget items

Every member of Congress now has a complete health care package that includes excellent coverage and costs each Congressperson a fraction of what the vast majority of other Americans must pay for their health coverage. Given this advantage they enjoy, why should they be able to keep this and at the same time deny health care coverage for the rest of us? Please do not support this cynical approach to health care. Why can't the oil industry be regulated like other public (necessary) utilities, to be limited the percentage of profit they can charge their customers. Is it because they've invested billions of dollars to political campaigns on both sides?

Our First Amendment Rights are most important to our freedom and democracy. The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors on March 27, 2012 passed an "Urgency Ordinance" that limits our freedom of speech. This over-reaction was caused by their unwillingness to deal respectfully with Occupy Eureka and the homeless and mental health issues at the courthouse. After many of the bias Surpreme Court decisions such as Citizens United ( The Tea Party), There is a need to limit the term of these people. No ordinary person has a job for life Or has a job without a performance review. A job for life is unaccepable. For that matter our Congress and Senate should have limits.

The Presdent and Congress have failed pass a budget or deal with the so called "Fiscal Cliff". This is a start.
