Karl Rove's Crossroads GPS organization and other right wing groups are listed as tax exemp social welfare groups under the Internal Revenue Code section number 501(c)(4) whose primary purpose legally CANNOT be political activity. However, this group alone plans to spend well over $ 100 MILLION this year to try to ensure Obama is defeated. This group is clearly NOT furthering general social welfare but undertaking almost exclusively political activity. As such, it is in clear violation of US law. So far, the IRS has turned a blind eye to the activities of Crossroads and other right wing propoganda machines. But, the Republican party intends to spend over $ 1 BILLION of corporate contributions on this election, much of it thru this and similar groups operating illegally as non-profits. We the undersigned demand that the IRS quickly and publically investigate the activities of not only Crossroads GPS, but other major election influencing groups as well and ideally shut them down for violating the law and/or fine them and tax them.

Dennis von Elgg was nominated by the student body to be the faculty speaker at our 2012 Graduation ceremony. He accepted our nomination, but then the AIMC Administration decided to ignore the student body's vote. They have not only disregarded our vote to have Dennis speak at our graduation, but he will not even be attending the ceremony at the request of AIMC. We're calling on President Tanaka to reverse his decision and respect our vote as a student body.

Barack Obama campaigned on hope and change. He said "yes we can" and people agreed. Some changes have been made, however we need to push for as many changes as possible a) in the remainder of this term and b) if he gets reelected. Obama is working with an extremely difficult Congress however we have to continue to push for changes as hard as possible.

The mentally ill are being imprisoned instead of being helped with medication and therapy especially teens. By signing this petition, we can give it to the courts and persuade judges to be more considerate. We can even start a new court for underage teens.

Right now, it is estimated that hundreds of thousands of Sudanese civilians are being intentionally starved to death and bombed daily by their own government. There is no question about it: without foreign intervention, these people will die in the coming weeks. Please act now!

We need to streamline our federal regulations that pertain to manufacturing and entice industrialists from Formosa, Japan, Germany, Finland, and South Korea along with specialists from these countries to restart our manufacturing of electronics, household appliances, power and hand tools, machine and plumbing parts as well as steel, plastics (and other materials, cement) so we can back our currency AND defend the US!

This Congress is obviously serving the needs of the 1 % over the rest of the country. Unreal resolutions to our debt problems, unemployment, energy problems, pollution problems, schemed tax laws and insane deregulation show that our leaders are bribed. All money and favors given to any government candidate or employee must be declared illegal.

All of our adult lives we "law abiding", hard working seniours have contdributed to the "Greater Good". Now, the people who are supposed to represent us, want to deny us a support system in our old age. I believe that the only way to help them to see the folly of such is to use our collective political power to take away some of their benefits. We do have that right, don't we? We, the People, can and should make them "cut back" as well.

The abuses of the IP system, especially patents, are well known, and it is understood that they are so extreme as to threaten our economy. However, before I became an intellectual property attorney (and at least a part of the reason I became an IP attorney) is that IP as it applies to small entities can be very important, and a major force for the good of our nation. Specifically, as a small inventor, I had two inventions stolen from me due to the lack of protection (I had not patented them), and one of them was rather valuable (both of them were inventions I was working on to bring to perfection, and, in fact, had spent considerable sums on, so not JUST ideas, these were inventions). However, Congress has mandated that the USPTO be profitable, and at the same time has mandated that small inventors get huge discounts. To ensure profitability, the USPTO has made the Examiners responsible for profitability personally. The inevitable result - small entity patents, no matter how valuable, are routinely rejected - with NO recourse by an independent agency! The certain result will be a decline in true innovation in the US!

This Act will enable candidates to run for office using small donations from average individuals along with matching public funds. If this Act passes a candidate can choose not to take money from special interests or lobbyists.
