Corey Safford has been housed at Cook County Dept. of Correction since January, 2010. Mr. Safford won his appeal after being charged in January, 1998 for attempt murder of a Harvey Police Officer. There were many errors found in this case. The Appellate Court and the Illinois Supreme Court Agreed, Mr. Safford's case was reversed. While being housed at Cook County Jail awaiting a new trial, Mr. Safford has been beat several times by Officers at the Jail. The last beating just occured where he suffered broken bones to his face and suffered other injuries. In addition, the Jail will not allow Mr. Safford the proper Medical Treatment, his life is in danger as a result of the attacks and lack of medical treatment. The Jail Administration has been notified, however there is no action to resolve these issues.

The purging of Democratic voters from the polls is a crime that is currently being committed in Florida and Texas by governors Scott and Perry. Eric Holder seems to think that writing memos to governor Scott fulfills his role in the matter. Tell Eric Holder that the job of the Attorney General of the United States is that of the chief enforcement officer of the Justice Department, and as the Nation's head cop he needs to get out the handcuffs for criminals who break our election laws.

I live in Wisconsin and was part of the Recall Walker campaign, which failed in large part because Governor Walker bought his votes with huge amounts of corporate money; he outspent Mayor Barrett 8-1 (much of his money from out of state). It has come to the point where money can speak louder than citizens. Where will this end? Will we now have our politicians bought by Big Companies instead of elected by citizens? We need to stop large corporations and personally wealthy individuals from being able to finance candidates who support their agenda, or the individual vote will become useless.

We need to consolidate the gains that we have made over the past 4 years. We always wanted more but to achieve more, we have to accept how difficult it is to accomplish the changes we want. People that lose their homes to foreclosure when the banks have no desire to own the property or continue the up keep of the property once it's empty bringing the value of properties around it down. I would like to see a bill that would make the bank negotiate a new loan that fits the owners budget so they may keep their home , which in turn save the value of other homes in the neighborhood .

Our elected officials (federal,state and local) should be required to take drug tests like any American getting a new job or like other public employees such as firemen and police who are subject to periodic on going tests. Let them get a taste of prohibition and the police state. Things may change. DEMAND DRUG TESTING OF PUBLIC OFFICALS!!
