• Federal government stop child support intercept doing the Coronavirus pandemic
How can the federal government hold this check from those who owe back child support? I am affected just as much if not worse than many other Americans that the check will be sent to because my hours are cut and they are still taking current and arrears from my check leaving me with little to nothing. I am getting the feeling our government believes those who owe back support do not need shelter, food, clothing, or money to survive. Just a job. What do I do when that’s taken completely away from me by this virus. Who do I have to depend on? Why am I paying taxes to a government that abandons me when I’m in trouble?

  • Airlines need to issue refunds on all airline tickets purchased to use in 2020 due to Covid-19
The stimulus package gave a lot to the airlines, and us Americans cannot travel anytime soon. The vouchers are only good from issue date for one year and doesn’t leave enough time to know whether it is safe to travel or not. Americans are in a financial crisis, the refunds can go towards our bills. Why do we have to loose money on tickets we would enjoy to use if this Pandemic wasn’t here!!!

  • No Water Shutoffs During the Coronavirus Pandemic!!
Currently, people across the country are not able to wash their hands, because their water service has been turned off. That's horrifying, especially during a critical time when the most widely endorsed strategy to prevent or manage the coronavirus (COVID-19) is to wash our hands frequently. The pandemic is making it all the more clear: water access is critical for public health. We all deserve access to water in order to be able to keep ourselves and our communities safe. Urge your members of Congress to pass a national moratorium on water shutoffs during the coronavirus pandemic.

  • Keep people safe: Issue a stay at home order in every state
I've been a doctor for 35 years and I want our country to listen to medical health professionals in this crisis. Staying at home as much as possible works. We've seen it work in Italy, China, and in areas of the U.S. to slow the spread of the deadly coronavirus. However, millions of people live in several states that have not mandated a stay-at-home order. Everyone deserves to be protected in this crisis as much as possible - we need a federal stay at home order, and every Governor must copy it for their state. If we don't practice physical distancing, then we will continue the exponential growth that I saw in my community and across the country. While some tried to trivialize the impact of the coronavirus just weeks ago we are now seeing over 200,000 reported cases in the United States and more than 5,000 deaths—not to mention record job losses and other immense damage to our nation. Experts say we may end up with hundreds of thousands dead in the United States alone. As a doctor, I am seeing hospitals scramble for the equipment needed to treat the thousands already infected. Staying home slows the rate of infection and will help ease the demand on our already strained healthcare system. It is never too late to act. The U.S. has been slow to react to this global pandemic, but expanding the stay at home orders has the potential to save thousands of lives. We all need to work together, this only works if everyone, in every state stays home because our health is all interconnected. President Trump has said distancing should continue through the end of April, but this needs to be required. Actions speak louder than words - declare a national stay at home order now! We know it works and doctors and other health care providers are willing to put their own lives on the line, this doctor thinks it is more than reasonable to ask EVERY governor and the President to do the right thing and do it NOW, before more lives are needlessly lost.

  • CONGRESS: Get to work and lead us through this crisis
The Coronavirus pandemic is a crisis unlike anything that Americans have ever experienced before. Our hospitals are overwhelmed. Our people are dying. Our neighbors are losing their jobs, struggling to pay rent and bills, and scared about the future. At a moment like this, we need leadership. We need our government up and running and responding to the crisis as it unfolds. But, right now, Congress is in recess until April 20. It’s time for Congress to get back to work and take up the legislation that will steer us out of this crisis. Without Congress, President Trump is stumbling through this pandemic, costing people their lives. We understand the health risks to members of Congress and that is exactly why Congress should change its rules so that members can work and vote remotely during the outbreak. In this era of technology, there is no reason that Congress cannot debate crisis legislation from each and every state across America and vote on rescue bills from the safety of their homes. Millions of Americans are working, keeping this country up and running. Congress must do the same. Sign this petition to demand that Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader McConnell support temporary changes to the House and Senate rules so that Congress can continue to address legislation that will end this crisis and save lives.

  • Joe Biden: Drop out of the Democratic primary and endorse Bernie Sanders
Trump has proven himself to be the most dangerous president in U.S. history, possibly one of the most dangerous rulers of all time. His response to the COVID-19 pandemic has been particularly disastrous for our country. We need the Democratic nominee to be someone who will confront him, show themself to be an effective alternative, and inspire voters - particularly unaffiliated voters - to come out during the general election. Former Vice-President Joe Biden has NOT shown himself to be that person. Early in his campaign, Biden promised donors that nothing would fundamentally change, and told people who want progressive changes to vote for someone else. He has stated that he has no empathy for younger generations or people who are not wealthy. He has expressed disinterest in discussing policy, refused to confront Trump for his response to the pandemic, and failed to address the public regarding the current crisis in a way that would inspire people to vote for him in November. His behavior suggests a disinterest in actually running for president and disconnection from the reality faced by most people in this country. In contrast, Senator Sanders' response to the COVID-19 crisis has demonstrated that he is the president we need. Sanders mobilized his campaign for president to raise over 2 million dollars for charities providing COVID-19 relief, and continues to request donations to additional charities. He stood up to the president, centrist Democrats, and Republicans in the Senate to ensure that the coronavirus bill has at least some provisions to help the working class survive this crisis. His addresses to the public have been clear, informative, motivating, and as comforting as any realistic response to this crisis can be. The best thing Mr. Biden can do at this point in time is to drop out of the Democratic primary and endorse Senator Sanders. That will allow the Democratic National Committee to nominate Sanders for president and free energy and resources for everyone involved to focus on COVID-19 relief. Mr. Biden's endorsement of Sanders will ensure party unity. The pandemic has clearly demonstrated the need for Sanders' policies such as Improved Medicare for All, creating a shift in consciousness that will help him secure enough votes to win in November. Please join me in telling Joe Biden: It is time to drop out and endorse Bernie Sanders for President.

  • Protective Equipment for All Essential Workers
If first responders or essential workers catch the virus, they will spread it rapidly by their high-contact jobs. If they themselves cannot work, there will be many unnecessary deaths. If healthcare workers cannot take care of the sick, many will die. If the supply chain is broken, many will be affected and die without needed medicine and food. It is counter productive to have all 50 states bidding against each other during this crisis.

  • Invoke The 25th Amendment: President Trump believes he is still on a reality TV show.
President Trump's recent comments comparing his Presidential briefings on the deadly coronavirus pandemic with a reality show named "The Bachelor" is clear indication that he does not have a grasp of the reality of his surroundings or the seriousness of the current state of The Union. He appears to believe that he is still on a reality television show.
