Tell Fox News to Give Reporter Chance to Apologize with Accurate, Updated StoryOn Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at about 9:50 p.m. on the access of Potranco and Hwy 151 in San Antonio, Texas, my brother, Abraham Valadez, was side-swiped by a black SUV while on his motorcycle. The motorist of the SUV stopped to see what they did and then sped off. The Fox News reporter (unknown) on the scene fabricated a story by reporting that my brother was joyriding. This is completely false. His main form of transportation is a motorcycle. The reporter never mentioned that there was a black SUV that changed lanes without signaling and by doing so hit my brother on his bike causing him to fly and tumble 3-4 times. He hit the curb on the island and as a result a part of the handlebar of his bike caught his hand and almost severed it. Does Fox have a habit of fabricating stories on the suffering of others? This is the response from the Asst. News Director of KABB-TV in San Antonio, TX, James Keith: Please accept our apologies for the poor reporting and for the unfortunate incident. We will address this with the employees who wrote the story. It's never our intention to report false information. Again, my apologies. Thanks for letting us know! James Keith Assistant News Director, KABB-TV (210) 442-6301 [email protected] Although it is never the "intention to report false information" from any news source, it is unfortunate that this happened and it would only be right to correct the error in an updated news story.295 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Jeremy Valadez

Protect hundreds of thousands of unemployed across the nation and extend unemployment emergency a...On May 12, 2012. the U.S. Department of Labor cut federal funding to hundreds of thousands of US Families across the country. The 2011 unemployment emergency assistance has not been extended into 2012 and benefits are being cut off with little notice. In April fifteen states were cut off from dedicated federal funds, in May eight more states unemployed have been cut off even though they have a remaining balance on their claim. Hundreds of thousands across the country are at risk of losing their homes, apartments, and cars. Families are still struggling while lawmakers refuse to help. Tell lawmakers to rescue families across the country hit hardest by the economic downturn, and act swiftly in extending federal unemployment benefits in 2012.67 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Leah Harrison

Eliminate State and Federal Rights for MarriageThe States and Federal Governments give hundreds of rights and benefits to those Americans who are married; single Americans deserve all the same equal rights and benefits. The Governments are discriminating against those Americans who are not married; single Americans pay taxes to the governments and do not receive equality and all the benefits; give equal access to all rights and benefits under the laws to all citizens or deny those who are married any special rights and benefits.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ellen Ray

Fair government wagesBecause necessary minimum wage workers like life guards, park workers, librarian helpers, and others who only make about $10 an hour or about $20,000 a year are being cut for lack of funding, Whatcom County and Bellingham City elected and appointed officials may not be paid more than five times minimum wage -- $100,000 a year.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Barbara Perry

Make changes concerning leadership problems in your Campus Ministry divisionLeadership in the Campus Ministry division of Campus Crusade for Christ have recently hired potential missionaries just to remove them as soon as the missionaries have raised appropriate funding for themselves and the ministry. Campus Crusade is only suppose to receive 10% of money raised through individual missionaries. The missionaries are supposed to receive the outstanding balance. The Campus Ministry division recently hired a missionary to raise money only without telling them this was their sole purpose, leading them to believe they would be allowed to collect the funds they had raised ($35,000) when they met their financial goal. They have fired missionaries after they have raised their funding and kept the donations for their sole purposes. CCC President Stephen Douglass, Vice President- Steve Sellers and Campus Ministry division head Mark Gauthier can make changes that treat missionaries and their donors with more integrity.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by John Brown

Department of Education: Educate everyone with online video website. The concept of having free, instructional videos on a wide range of academic subjects delivered in a systematic and entertaining way is a wonderful idea. Khan Academy is at the head of class. In Salman Khan’s* own words, “With over 3,100 videos on everything from arithmetic to physics, finance, and history and hundreds of skills to practice, we're on a mission to help you learn what you want, when you want, at your own pace.” This website is a national treasure. Check it out. http://www.khanacademy.org/ With the full resources of the United States government, libraries, and teachers around the country, an American Academy website could have more than a million videos, by a variety of teachers, covering the full range of human knowledge. In order for all American citizens to have the chance to compete in a global economy, start successful businesses, or have meaningful careers in the future, they need to have access to the world’s knowledge in a systematic, accessible, understandable, and entertaining fashion. This website, www.AmericanAcademy.gov**, would help students, teachers, and lifelong learners. Of course, the world will have access to American Academy. I believe that the more people know about the world, the more chances we have to solve the world’s problems. * I have not contacted the folks at Khan Academy, nor am I in any way affiliated with them. ** The name of the website is not important, but the concept is.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Rodney Ferguson
