Repealing "The Patriot Act "The Patriot Act (P.A.) has taken away my Constitutional Rights as an American. My fore fathers fought against outside government takeovers. And the P.A. does that and even more unconstitutional things against the citizens Bill Of Rights. Therefore repealing the P.A. would then restore our sovournty(sp)? Back to where out once was. No one group of representatives should have the right to change the Constitutions Perameters or Framework of a Historical Document we have lived by as a peaceful nation. In doing this repeal we will also be attempting to change the Protocal of the C.I.A. & Homeland Security preventing them from staging and performing accidents at home and abroad to give our government a reason to retaliate.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Gene Durall

NATIONAL MONORAIL SERVICEFederal Gov. construction of a Nation-Wide Monorail system running up the middle of the Interstate Hwy System. The Monorail would run above the ground on pylons and would provide passenger service (including auto transport), freight service and US mail service. All interstate trans would be required to use it--NO exceptions. Airlines would relenquish their Fed subsidies to support this. Construction would be done by Federal employees--under a WPA like system. Materials would be purchased from an approved list of vendors who could prove NO lobbying and NO connections to Gov. employees or elective officials. A date would be set for completion---ie: 20 yrs. (think Pres. Kennedy's pledge to land a man on the moon in less than 10 yrs.). This legislation and the resulting program would result in the following: job creation on a massive scale, reduction of carbon emissions, safe and effective travel, safe and effective freight transport, reduction (drastic) in fuel consumption, rapid interstate travel, convenience (no waiting to board a plane--get to an airport etc.), smog reduction, less stress for travelers with children and reduced cost for families. These are only a few of the countless benefits. They address the most crucial crises facing our country: employment, fuel consumption, foreign control of fuel supplies, pollution, global warming, safety, erroding infrastructure, transportation. It is NOT a matter of "if"---it is a matter of MUST!!!38 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Rev. Carter A. Dary

Open CU dive well to qualified diversUniversity of Colorado at Boulder Recreation Center has been so restrictive with regard to its diving boards, that it's preventing potential Olympic athletes from progressing. Indeed, the CU Boulder rec center has nearly transformed the dive well into the water polo well, because they are so afraid to allow access to the 3m diving boards. In the 1980s and 90s US Olympic divers were among the best. But facilities like CU need to set an example & encourage young athletes, not prevent them.14 of 100 SignaturesCreated by peyton lester

Sign Petition – Reunite Tens of Thousands of American Children Taken From Their Deported ParentsDear Mr. President Barack Obama: In 2011, over 46,000 mothers and fathers of at least one U.S. citizen child were part of massive ICE deportations. Many of these children (unable to be claimed by their parents while held in ICE detention centers) were put into county foster care custody and scattered throughout the nation - as abandoned and neglected. The United States needs to reunite these families and end these blunt violations of perhaps the oldest and most fundamental of human rights: a parent's right to raise and care for their own child. Please issue a Presidential Executive Order to locate these children so they can be reunited with their parents. America must do the right thing. No one has the right to separate a child from the parent they love. Nobody!6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Latino Policy Coalition

STOP VOTE SUPPRESSIONThe cynical Republican effort nationwide to keep minorities and college students from voting must be exposed. Their rationale of combating voter fraud is unsupported by any evidence of significant voter fraud anywhere in the United States.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Glenn Becker

Save the Post OfficeWe need to stop the dismantling of the postal service under the guise of "economic reforms." The post office is not a money'making enterprize. It is a public service and ought to be jbranded as such, funded as such, and guaranteed in perpetuity as such.14 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Sylvia Levine

Stand Up for the Health of Maine's Kids and SeniorsGovernor Paul LePage and his Republican allies in the Maine Legislature are on the verge of making deep cuts to critical services. Targeted are the Fund for a Healthy Maine, Drugs for the Elderly, and Head Start. The budget ax would nearly eliminate state funding for early childhood education. All this, while the Governor continues to cut taxes for those already prospering. We are calling on Maine Legislators to reject these attempts to dismantle important services that promote public health and offer help to at-risk children and seniors.5,412 of 6,000 SignaturesCreated by Jon Hinck

Fixing the Worlds Major ProblemsThe one cause to the worlds problems is; the people who are paying money to, and voting for, criminals who are subverting governments world wide for their so called "New World Order". The one solution is for enough people to learn how the International and Central Bankers or Financiers are corrupting nations governments by controlling their money supplies, causing economic disasters, and then mutilating their laws while everyone else is busy surviving. The path begins by looking up the 16 phrases at the bottom of the petition.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Harley Davidson Borgais

Make Election Day a Paid National HolidayElecting the President of the United States is one of the most important events we participate in as free citizens of a democracy, and yet we have to "find time" to vote between job, parenting an other assorted responsibilities. If Election Day became a paid National Holiday, more citizens would have the opportunity to vote without the penalty of lost wages in the event of long election lines, bad weather, or employer intimidation. Our democracy will be more viable, because more citizens could participate, if Election Day were a paid National Holiday.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jayne Hayes

Stop profiling dog breeds and enforce owner responsibility instead!Bully dog breeds have been getting negative publicity because of attacks on people and other animals. No information has been gathered or information given regarding the type of unqualified and irresponsible individuals who, while deciding to own these dogs failed to properly train and supervise them. A dog of any breed is a true reflection of his owner regardless of size or breed. Make owners--not dogs--responsible for their dogs' behavior by placing the burden of punishment on the owner and making the punishment fit the crime!13 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Graciela C. Catasus

Raise Interest Rates to Support a Growing EconomyOur country needs disposable income to move the economy forward. Interest rates were lowered to get business to create jobs, but that is not what is happening. Businesses are hording their profits. It's time to get those who have enough money to purchase Certificates of Deposits or Treasury Bills to accrue a 4 to 5 % interest rate. This will help the government as well since it will increase the amount of taxes collected. Most people will use the extra cash they receive to buy more products thereby increasing the need for businesses to hire more workers. There will be a slight increase in the cost of living, but the overall effect should be better for the economy.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jack Gestri
