• Social Security for ALL
If all members of Congress and all federal employees were on Social Security like the rest of us, there would be more contributors and Congress would be motivated to fix the system.

  • Petition for Clemency for Michael Hurst
My younger brother was accused of robbery to the 1st degree back in 1989. He went prison and still in Bowling Green Missouri's Correctional Center. He has served his time. We had a petition for Clemency signed by over a thousand people at the request of his attorney I found for my parents who have trusted over a half dozen attorneys over the years that took them for a ride. This attorney was a past judge and has done a great deal of work trying to free my brother. He stated that this was too much time for the crime. He got 30yrs with no parole and no one was hurt or killed at the time this happened. There were a lot of flaws in the report in which that female judge who sentenced him refused to listen to stated by my mother. Michael and his friend was arrested out of jurisdiction. He has changed his life and never had any prior convictions when he went in stated by attorney. This judge retired soon after his sentencing. Please help me help my brother. He is been changing many lives behind bars. He has been in ministry playing music and helping other pastors at the prison. Many prison officials stated from various prisons he had attended, that he didn't belong here. He came from a good family with good christian parents. I'm his older and only sister. I won't be completely happy until he is home with us again. Please help me free him. He wrote president Barack Obama a week ago. Thanks for you all of your time and consideration regarding Michael Hurst and family. The governor has his petition and papers of release on his desk and just haven't signed it. It's been over a year. It has already been to the parole board and back to the governor. Cheryl Foutz

  • America: Fix Congress!
No matter the political affiliations, the American people are sick of the inequitable political system that exists today. The fix is simple: Control the Lobby industry, which robs the American people of a responsive government. End the filibuster, a tactic that is useless to the American people. Finally, allow simple majority rule in congress and let's get to work on the issues at hand!

  • Kizzy Hunter: Protect the Rights of Injured Workers'
If laws presently on the books are diligently enforced, and if the rights of injured workers are still not protected, this creates a great injustice to injured workers as well as society as a whole. The injustice not only plagues injured workers and their families it burdens the economy. Anyone is susceptibe to a work related injury and this petition demands fair and just treatment across the board for injured workers. Ms. Hunter has continued to fight against the gross violation of injured workers' rights through her own work related injury. She knows firsthand the disadvantage, oppression, and nihilism that detrimentally impacts workers' as a whole. This is a real and palpable issue due to the excessive shift in costs, increased poverty rates, lack of accountability, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, lack of transparency, conflict of interest, misrepresentation, which places massive burdens upon taxpayers, and other managed health care entities, the economy, and skyrocketing rate increases as a result of filing a claim, which significantly impacts small businesses. Also, excessive costs placed upon the government through Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security permeates a significant problem. Injured workers you're not alone and this petition demands protection of injured workers rights, fair treatment, and accountability for compensable injuries.

  • Vetoing the National Defense Authorization Act
The National Defense Authorization Act is a bill passed by Congress, that if allowed to take hold, could effectively make our Bill of Rights null. If passed the U.S Military would be a part of Domestic policing in regards to "terrorists". Any citizen could be arrested and indefinitely detained without trial under this Act, on suspicion of "terrorism". Please, show our government that we will not sit idly by as our Natural and Constitutional rights are taken away from us, and we go one step closer to Martial Law. Any signature and any re-posting will help but it's vital we act fast. This Act will entirely change our country for the worse if we don't act now.

  • Remove All Corporate Lobbying in Congress
Proposal for new federal law to help restore representative democracy in America. Political power of monetary wealth, especially associated with "corporate persons," has swamped accessibility and influence on public policy in comparison with public sentiment. Unchecked lobby influence may also be used by foreign entities to subvert American interests.
