Decrease speeding and increase safety in residential areasI have been personally affected by people speeding through the neighborhood, I was recently struck head on while waiting to turn into my driveway buy a speeder, resulting in traumatic injury to my hand which required surgery and months and months of physical therapy, other neighbors have complained they have almost been struck standing in the street next to their curb, other neighbors have complained that they’ve also been almost hit in the same manner. Our school bus stop is on the side of a small busy road which is also a threat to our children.15 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Melinda pereira

This must not be tolerated by anyone, Democrat or Republican who cherishes American values.147 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Gregory Linn

Walking shouldn't be deadlyThe United States has become an incredibly deadly place to go for a walk, bike ride, or drive because we've designed our roads to prioritize high-speed vehicles over people. Over the last decade, nearly 50,000 people were struck and killed while walking—the elderly, people of color, and low-income communities bore the biggest burden. The piecemeal approach to safer streets at the state and local level isn't enough; we need Congress to make a powerful statement about the need to design streets for everyone by passing a strong, binding Complete Streets policy at the federal level. No more excuses. No more status quo. It’s time to address the epidemic of traffic fatalities. Urge your senators and representative to sponsor the Complete Streets Act of 2019.150 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Sean Doyle

Governor Cuomo, please sign the bill extending the deadline for voters to change their party regi...In 2016, New York’s deadline for switching party registration was Oct. 9, 2015, a whopping 193 days before the primary. The result was to effectively disenfranchise thousands of voters. Earlier this year, the New York State Democratic Committee voted to fix that. Unfortunately, the Board of Elections determined that legislation was required to make the change. In response, the Assembly and Senate immediately passed, respectively, A8228B and S6352A. These bills would allow previously registered voters to change their party enrollment up to February 14th of the same year of the primary. We are very pleased at the slate of voting reforms which you signed into law earlier this year expanding, among other things, early voting and same-day voter registration. But this change to the law cannot wait. New Yorkers deserve the right to vote, and to change their party registrations in a reasonable time before the primaries.138 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Brian Mangan

Democrats, do what the Constitution demandsSome in our party point to our Reps' ambivalence on impeachment as proof we continue to act like wimps. But it isn't a matter of weakness but one of lack of patriotism. There's ample reason to impeach. The Constitution addresses a situation like this and shows the line of action for Congress. Notice that Dem's rationale for not impeaching is not that it's undeserved. I haven't heard a single Democrat saying what Trump has done doesn't yet rise to an impeachable offense. No, what they say is that it will backfire politically, "you see, it didn't help Gingrich". So, they also flaunt their responsibilities, spelled out in the Constitution, out of political calculations. We want a record of well-documented offenses, and we want to see each senator voting yes/no, and that history books have that vote registered. The McCarthy years may have looked the norm to some back then, but history turned out not to be kind to those who jumped on his bandwagon. These four years will look different in the future when people will be asking "how did that happen"? We should all get excited about this. Let's show those pusillanimous reps we've sent to Washington "to represent our wishes and interests", how upset we are. I was burning to finally find a sentence for that word, pusillanimous. I already emailed my US Rep, Zoe Lofgren, and both senators: Dianne and my future president Kamala.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Leonardo Riener

Remove Auto Photopass Kiosks in Disney ParksHuman experience is a big part of making the magic happen for Disney park goers. The recent replacement of human jobs in favor of photopass kiosk for character meet and greets is an issue that many Disney faithful are passionate about. Not only are human jobs being taken away by an expensive and non-intimate device, but guests are missing out on a valuable experience as Disney Photopass Photographers are some of the top-performing employees in Disney parks.19 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Michael Arnold

Reinstate ZahraSince the beginning, The Women's March has been about drawing in and uplifting the most marginalized people. That is the goal of the March, and of the movement behind it. We stand together, behind and beside each other. We do NOT abandon our sisters. Audre Lorde told us that we do not know how to relate across differences. She was right. Discarding those people who care deeply, who fight hard for their communities, and who are willing to do the work to LEARN how to relate across differences, benefits no one but the oppressors. We must hold tight to each other, even when it is hard. Especially when it is hard. We must learn to make room for one another in the March towards a common goal. Zahra, like us, has made mistakes and made amends. Zahra Billoo deserves immediate reinstatement to the Board.241 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Amanda Mileur

We believe survivors: Impeach Justice Brett KavanaughAn explosive new investigation in the New York Times came out last weekend with yet another credible accusation of sexual assault against the Supreme Court Justice. The report also details new evidence that Kavanaugh lied under oath during his Supreme Court confirmation hearings. Not once. Not twice. But literally dozens of times. Now, outrage is growing and pressure is building on the House to move forward with impeachment proceedings. The House Judiciary Committee has the authority and responsibility to begin an investigation into the accusations of sexual assault and perjury--and hold Kavanaugh accountable. The good news is that if we can show enough public pressure to act, Democrats in the House might do it. Sign now to tell your member of Congress to advocate for the impeachment of Justice Kavanaugh.
