  • Mayor Dyer: Save the Rays
It’s never good for a major league sports team to leave (the state), but moving them to another city, could help Orlando, and it adds one more sport...this helps with recruiting businesses to our city, jobs, taxes.

  • Providing Recycling Options at Suffolk County Campgrounds
An accessible clean water source isn't always an option at Suffolk County campgrounds, so plastic water bottles, paper plates, aluminum tins, etc, are commonly used. Pollution has become a major issue when it comes to keeping our planet clean and safe. However, recycling single-use products such as those listed above would keep them out of landfills, nature, and oceans and reduce the waste we leave behind.

  • Stop the Use of Lethal M-44 "Cyanide Bombs" to Kill Native Wildlife!
The Trump administration recently reauthorized the use of deadly sodium cyanide in wildlife-killing devices called M-44s on our public lands. These “cyanide bombs” were approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency despite inhumanely and indiscriminately killing thousands of animals each year by luring them in by smelly bait. Anything or anyone that pulls on the baited M-44 device can be killed or severely injured by the deadly capsule of sodium cyanide inside. In 2017 alone, M-44s temporarily blinded a child and killed three beloved family dogs in two incidents in Idaho and Wyoming, and accidentally killed an endangered wolf in Oregon. The Western Environmental Law Center is a nonprofit, public-interest environmental law firm and our expert attorneys are using the full power of the law to stop the use of dangerous, lethal sodium cyanide poison devices on public lands nationwide.

  • No More Tolls!
Taxation without representation. This state exploits it's citizens financially and refuses to take heed to our outcries or consider our needs as citizens, instead favoring payoff from big business and private contributors. Money is their motivation and the Good to Go system is proof of that. It frequently overcharges motorists for not having a sticker and accidentally crossing into restricted lanes. They are enforced by inaccurate and over-sensitive cameras and collected by a third party outsourced agency. End this corruption now!

  • Bring RONIN home
Proof is in the numbers right?! Let's all stand together and prove where K9 Ronin belongs. Let's help get this hero home with his humans. Brits backstory on Ronin & Her family ⬇⬇ BRING RONIN HOME Many of you know the story of what is happening to my husband Arthur Wallin. A decorated K9 Police officer who was fired on Thursday for petty political and selfish reasons, but there is possibly an even greater misjustice going on. Ronin is an 8 year old police dog who has lived with our family for his whole life. Ronin is known all over the county for being extremely successful K9 police dog. Capturing tons of bad guys and keeping the county safe. Being a police dog you can image Ronin is a special dog who is EXTREMELY attached to Arthur. Ronin becomes stressed and nervous when not with Arthur because of the dangerous and stressful work they did every day. Ty Trenary, The Sheriff, decided to take this old, sick dog from the only family it’s ever known, for no reason. Ronin has been diagnosed with a degenerate spinal condition that will make him go paralyzed at any time. To work this dog with another handler would be impossible, let alone cruel in itself. Ronin is a living animal that deserves to be treated with respect after the 7 years of serving this county, I would think he deserves to live out his remaining years at home with the family who has loved and cared for him for the past 7 years. At this point, the Sheriff’s Office is only keeping Ronin from living at home with his family because they can. I’m asking for help to let Ronin come home!!!! My children didn’t even get to say goodbye to the dog who has been a constant part of their whole lives. It’s wrong to treat humans like this, but a blameless hard working-dog……. Please help me right this wrong. Make some noise and let's get Ronin home!!! #rightthiswrong #EverettHerald It’s time to email the Sheriff! If we get everyone to email him and tell him how unjust this is, then maybe we can get Ronin home soon! The sheriff's email is: [email protected] It's public info so everyone, send an email:)!!

  • Timber Lake Needs Your Help
Since our HOA dues have ONLY been raised once in the past 15 years, the vast majority of Timber Lake residence don’t realize that we are currently running in the DARK RED. With over $600k+ in maintenance and repairs needs and a skim $230k in reserves, the only way to: § protect our home values, § clean our mud-filled lakes, § repair our trail paths, § fill our flower beds, § repair patchy grass, § replace lost trees § and to be the only community with no holiday lights …….is to demand immediate action from our HOA board. When speaking with the HOA board they are overly concerned that raising our HOA dues will upset us. If we as a community are not vocal about our desires to keep Timber Lake beautiful, we are only hurting ourselves and our home values. By signing this petition you are vocalizing your desire as a resident to have the HOA dues raised 25% (the equivalent of ONLY $20.63 more a month) to address deterioration and focus on future improvements to Timber Lake. As of the October 2nd meeting, the board holds firm that the budget remain the same, putting our community at risk of further deterioration and the possible risk of a hefty special assessment (lean on your home) in years to come. We MUST ACT NOW. Please sign and inform your neighbors.
