Congress: Hold Public Hearings on the Prison CampsChildren are not an existential threat to the United Sates, yet we have allowed at least 13,000 of them to be separated from their families at our southern border in systematic perpetration of ongoing cruelty. (White Canadian children would not be treated this way.) We must say NO to institutionalized cruelty on our own soil. Asylum seekers must be welcomed and processed according to treaties, all abuses must be stopped and punished, and children must be reunited with their parents.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Kannon McAfee

Open an investigation into and prosecute Michael Revelle Jr. for online death threatDeath threats are criminal whether they are online or in person. It is the responsibility of law enforcement to investigate and prosecute people in their jurisdiction who pose a threat to the public so we are bringing awareness and calling on law enforcement and elected officials in Decatur, IL to open a case against Michael Revelle Jr for making death threats to a community organizer and hero online. It is imperative to protect the public from the violence incited by these threats everyday. Women are harassed, stalked and worse due to online threats like this.72 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Marcie Wells

Protect Public Access on Public Lands! The Crazy Mountains are on public lands, yet are almost completely surrounded by checkerboarded private lands. Since the early 1900s, the public had longstanding access to these mountains and the U.S. Forest Service has always managed and maintained them as such, until recently. The U.S. Forest Service is neglecting its duty to protect and preserve public access in Montana’s Crazy Mountains. The Western Environmental Law Center is a nonprofit, public-interest environmental law firm and our expert attorneys will use the full power of the law in court to fight for the public’s right to access the Crazy Mountains. Please help us reopen public trails in Montana’s Crazy Mountains and sign and share this petition today!1,031 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Michelle Loth, Western Environmental Law Center

Require That Presidential Candidates Qualify For Top Security ClearanceMandating Top Secret clearance for presidential candidates would have disqualified Trump in 2016 and could protect us from compromised candidates. There is no doubt that the U.S. has been negatively affected by having an unfit president in the White House. We cannot let this happen again.944 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by Libby Van Slyke

REMOVE THE STAIN ACT : Rescind Medals of Honor for Wounded Knee MassacreRescind the Medals of Honor Capitol Hill has introduced legislation that seeks to rescind 20 Medals of Honor awarded for the Wounded Knee massacre. If passed, the "Remove the Stain Act" would remove the names of the 20 cavalrymen who are currently on the Medal of Honor Roll. It wouldn't require any surviving medals to be returned, nor the denial of any benefits. All 20 men who received the medal are dead. The effort began when Rep. Denny Heck of Washington went to his staff with an idea for a bill. Native American groups have been calling for the medals to be rescinded for years. "The congressman had been reading about the massacre and was bothered by the fact that the 20 Medals of Honor had not been rescinded," his spokesperson Bobby Mattina told CNN. "He sees this bill as helping Native American communities with healing, but also protecting the prestige of the Medal of Honor and removing the stain of the massacre from its legacy." One of his cosponsors is Rep. Deb Haaland, who earlier this year became one of the first Native American women to ever serve in Congress. "This bill is particularly significant because it's a marker," she said in a speech announcing the bill's introduction. "It shows that our country is finally on its way to acknowledging and recognizing the atrocities committed against our Native communities." https://www.stripes.com/house-lawmakers-propose-bill-to-rescind-medals-of-honor-awarded-for-wounded-knee-massacre-1.587558 https://www.military.com/daily-news/2019/06/26/lawmakers-seek-revoke-wounded-knee-medals-us-soldiers.html https://www.cnn.com/2019/06/26/politics/medal-of-honor-wounded-knee-trnd/index.html766 of 800 SignaturesCreated by All My Relations

Judge Van Aken: Release Kevin Epps on BailKevin Epps, an award-winning filmmaker and social justice activist, is being held without bail in the San Francisco County jail. He has been in custody since May 7, 2019, and is claiming self-defense for a 2016 incident in which he was never charged. Judge Van Aken denied bail to Kevin based on preliminary evidence that led her to believe that he is a danger to the community. Several court hearings later, we believe that the evidence against Kevin has not held up to justify her initial judgment. We are asking Judge Van Aken to reconsider releasing Kevin Epps on bail to best serve him, his family, and the community. Since 2016, Kevin continued to work as a filmmaker, has been a caretaker for his mother and children, and posed absolutely no substantial threat toward anyone. For more information on his case and to support him and his family directly, please go to his GoFundMe campaign: https://www.gofundme.com/x48br-free-kevin-epps725 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Tobee Chung Vanderwall

Stop the disrespect of grave sites at Priest River CemeteryThe current caretaker of the grounds at Priest River Cemetery is throwing away items families have placed on their loved ones' grave sites. Today a picture was taken and posted on Facebook that showed a HUGE pile of flowers (many still fresh), toy cars, shepherd hooks, and other personal items the caretaker of the cemetery removed to throw away so he had better access to mow the grass.272 of 300 SignaturesCreated by JoAnna Jordan

Tell the University of Cincinnati Medical Center: Stop the attack, reinstate Donaldson and rescin...The Medical Center’s actions set a dangerous precedent by disciplining those responsible for representing and communicating the concerns of the nurses. As front-line healthcare providers, it’s a nurse’s responsibility to report unsafe working conditions and detriments to optimal patient care. If nurses cease to advocate for their patients for fear of losing their jobs or nursing licenses, the patients and thus the community are done a disservice with potentially dangerous outcomes. Nurses’ voices are paramount to ensuring safe patient care and their legal right as union members to advocate for changes to their wages and working conditions. Sign the petition to tell UCMC HR Director Rick Lofgren and UCMC board members to put Jennifer Donaldson back to work, rescind the discipline for Michelle Thoman, and respect the nurses of UCMC’s right to advocate for their patients, their community and for themselves. Jennifer Donaldson, the fired nurse, was a 28-year Labor and Delivery nurse with no history of disciplinary action. In November 2018, her husband fell and severely broke his leg requiring immediate surgery. He contracted a surgical-site infection and MERSA and has undergone five additional surgeries. Prior to her termination, Jennifer Donaldson was the sole breadwinner, provider of healthcare coverage, and caretaker to her husband.1,173 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Molly Homan
