Patients with medically documented needs for management of chronic, non-cancer, and non-terminal pain are being denied the only pharmaceutical products in the formulary which are effective for many of them…legitimate pain patients and veterans are suffering to the point of committing suicide due to government regulations which deny them access to healthcare for no other reason than a medication they take is something sold by a criminal element and abused by others sick with the disease of addiction

Children are not an existential threat to the United Sates, yet we have allowed at least 13,000 of them to be separated from their families at our southern border in systematic perpetration of ongoing cruelty. (White Canadian children would not be treated this way.) We must say NO to institutionalized cruelty on our own soil. Asylum seekers must be welcomed and processed according to treaties, all abuses must be stopped and punished, and children must be reunited with their parents.

Death threats are criminal whether they are online or in person. It is the responsibility of law enforcement to investigate and prosecute people in their jurisdiction who pose a threat to the public so we are bringing awareness and calling on law enforcement and elected officials in Decatur, IL to open a case against Michael Revelle Jr for making death threats to a community organizer and hero online. Rescind the Medals of Honor Capitol Hill has introduced legislation that seeks to rescind 20 Medals of Honor awarded for the Wounded Knee massacre. If passed, the "Remove the Stain Act" would remove the names of the 20 cavalrymen who are currently on the Medal of Honor Roll. It wouldn't require any surviving medals to be returned, nor the denial of any benefits. All 20 men who received the medal are dead. The effort began when Rep. Denny Heck of Washington went to his staff with an idea for a bill. Native American groups have been calling for the medals to be rescinded for years. "The congressman had been reading about the massacre and was bothered by the fact that the 20 Medals of Honor had not been rescinded," his spokesperson Bobby Mattina told CNN. "He sees this bill as helping Native American communities with healing, but also protecting the prestige of the Medal of Honor and removing the stain of the massacre from its legacy." One of his cosponsors is Rep. Deb Haaland, who earlier this year became one of the first Native American women to ever serve in Congress. "This bill is particularly significant because it's a marker," she said in a speech announcing the bill's introduction. Kevin Epps, an award-winning filmmaker and social justice activist, is being held without bail in the San Francisco County jail. He has been in custody since May 7, 2019, and is claiming self-defense for a 2016 incident in which he was never charged. Judge Van Aken denied bail to Kevin based on preliminary evidence that led her to believe that he is a danger to the community. Several court hearings later, we believe that the evidence against Kevin has not held up to justify her initial judgment. We are asking Judge Van Aken to reconsider releasing Kevin Epps on bail to best serve him, his family, and the community.
