Vice President Harris confronted the hate, vitriol, and threats repeatedly spewed by Donald Trump, JD Vance, and MAGA Republicans. She did it because she believed in the promise of this country and the power of joy, community, and unity over fear and divisiveness.  Our movements are and always have been about more than a single election. Our fight to expose racism, white supremacy, and misogyny that this country was founded on, confront the powerful and wealthy elite, and resist hate meant to isolate and divide us—and instead dream and chart a better path forward—continues. It continues because of the tireless work of the movement leaders who came before us and the movement leaders of today—everyday people who endured the worst of this country and still believed in each other and the possibilities of the future. It continues because of the possibilities seeded by Kamala Harris—the hope she inspired in millions of people who saw themselves and their loved ones in her campaign, and the fire she ignited in the 67 million people who voted for the future that we still deserve.  Progress doesn’t happen overnight, and it is often faced with backlash. We appreciate Kamala Harris and the Black women and other women of color who faced that backlash head on this election. Who pushed forward. And who reminded us that our families and communities are worth fighting for every time.  We will keep fighting.  Thank you.

We still live in a democracy. But Project 2025 wants to change that.  Project 2025 will further erode abortion access, implement mass deportations, reverse birthright citizenship, roll back LGBTQ+ rights, and dismantle public education. Disturbingly, it seeks to give Trump control over currently independent federal agencies, like the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. But it gets worse.  There's a "fourth pillar" that the architects of Project 2025 have refused to release that could completely overhaul the executive branch of government. We have to be prepared.  Trump and MAGA Republicans want us to feel defeated. But we sit on the shoulders of giants who have endured the worst of this country and still fought for its promise. This is a dark chapter in U.S. history. But together, we can make sure it's not the final chapter.  This is not 2016. We know what we're up against. Organizations like True the Vote are waging a war on democracy, challenging the rights of over 850,000 Americans—primarily targeting communities of color and young voters. My new film, Vigilantes Inc: America's New Voter Suppression Hitmen, reveals the alarming reality of armed vigilantes in Texas who have been intimidating voters and creating a climate of fear. In states like Arizona, poll watchers dressed in tactical gear are patrolling ballot drop boxes, turning what should be a safe space for civic engagement into a battleground of intimidation. Meanwhile, in Georgia, True the Vote has purged thousands of voters from the rolls and is poised to challenge millions more nationwide—threatening to disenfranchise enough legal voters to swing election outcomes. This is Jim Crow 2.0.  The Department of Justice must enforce the KKK Act of 1870 to prosecute these brazen acts of voter intimidation, but that’s just scratching the surface. With 44,000 self-appointed vigilantes mobilized to confront voters and a disturbing rise in political violence fueled by disinformation, we need federal monitors on the ground to protect election integrity. The presence of armed groups at polling places doesn’t just undermine public confidence; it puts voter safety at risk and suppresses turnout, as we saw in the 2022 midterms. The Brennan Center for Justice has identified ten states at high risk of disruption: Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin. Federal election monitors are essential to ensure that voters in these states—and beyond—are shielded from harassment and can cast their ballots without fear. Attorney General Merrick Garland has made promises to protect election integrity, but now we need action. Voters should not have to dread exercising their constitutional rights. Armed intimidation, mass voter purges, and harassment driven by disinformation have no place in our elections. Sign this petition to demand that President Biden and the DOJ deploy federal monitors at polling stations nationwide and enforce existing laws to protect the right to vote. Our democracy is hanging in the balance, and we must act now.

Multiple groups supporting Sen. Cruz’s campaign in Texas have spent nearly $16 million on aggressive ads bashing support for transgender athletes competing in women's sports. It’s overwhelmingly clear that Cruz and his cronies would rather spout blatant lies than talk about the real issues impacting Americans. Lying about trans kids is just the latest tactic in their playbook of distracting voters from the GOP’s dangerous agenda—an agenda that would criminalize essential health care and make communities less safe for our children. Contrary to what these sham ads would have you believe, the reality is that gender-affirming care is backed as medically necessary by leading health groups like the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics.  We need to elect leaders who value honesty, transparency, and the truth. The health of our kids and our entire democracy is at stake. Republicans must stop running ads with blatant lies. His support for extremist voices and efforts to destabilize the U.S. dollar are deeply harmful and could lead to a weakened economy, social unrest, and increased vulnerability to manipulation from both foreign and domestic actors. This isn’t just about Musk; it’s about defending the values and systems that keep our country secure and democratic. When powerful figures act without accountability, democracy suffers. By joining this campaign, we can stand together to demand that our leaders take action, ensuring that no individual—no matter how influential—is allowed to undermine the very principles that protect all Americans. This is more than just a lack of endorsement for VP Harris. This is about integrity, honesty and transparency with the American public. If the LA Times and The Washington Post had said in advance, a year ago, they would not endorse in the race, that would be cause for some disappointment. But that's not the case whatsoever. These articles came out within days of one another, with the same story. Is it a coincidence that billionaires are holding back key endorsements this close to the nation's Election Day on November 5? Especially after news dropped earlier this week that another influential billionaire, Twitter/X owner Elon Musk, was planning to hand out out huge payments in battleground states as part of a get-out-the-vote drive?  What is certain to us, is that these reports not only undermine the writers and staff who came together and took time to write these endorsements of Harris, but also have the potential to undermine and increase voter uncertainty in our democracy and in our publications. In a heightened time of misinformation and disinformation, this cannot be acceptable from publications that millions of people read and trust.  The latest reports have Harris and Trump neck-and-neck in key states across the country. What if the information from the endorsement of both of these publications signals to millions of readers that Harris is of the same standards as Donald Trump? Or even worse, encourages them not to vote at all if the outcome will be the same?   Sign the petition to call out this injustice for what it is and share with at least three friends. People across the country have already began to vote early, and we have less than a week and a half before November 5. There is still time to course correct.

The concept of a ban on fracking in Pennsylvania has been getting a lot of attention in recent weeks. But banning fracking in a place where it has been happening for 20 years is not the same thing as banning it where it has never happened. What must happen here and what will happen is a phase out of fracking. How rapid the phase out is will determine how smoothly the public, workers, and entire communities will be able to make the transition. We're calling on Governor Shapiro and our state legislators to start the rapid phase out now and urging them to take the steps we have listed.

This cause is essential because farmworkers are the backbone of the agricultural sector, directly contributing to food security and economic stability in the U.S. They labor in physically demanding and often dangerous environments, facing risks such as pesticide exposure, extreme heat, respiratory issues, and repetitive injuries. Despite their critical role, these workers are often excluded from healthcare benefits, which can have severe repercussions both for their health and for the communities they support​. Farmworkers, especially those on H-2A visas, face substantial barriers to accessing healthcare. These include limited insurance coverage, language barriers, and fears of immigration-related repercussions, often forcing them to seek care only in emergency situations. This lack of regular healthcare not only worsens their health outcomes but also strains local healthcare systems due to higher emergency room usage. Improving healthcare access for farmworkers is therefore a matter of social justice, public health, and economic prudence​. Expanding healthcare access for farmworkers not only benefits them personally but also supports healthier communities, more resilient healthcare systems, and a more stable food supply. Without this support, these workers’ health deteriorates, which could lead to labor shortages and higher costs in the agricultural sector, impacting food availability and prices across the country.

This matter AFFECTS EVERYONE! People should join in on my campaign for change because this could help them live longer, healthier and happier lives. We could also be a little more carefree by potentially starting to have more trust in our government and other organizations that we are supposed to count on to protect us, when we are unable to protect ourselves.
