The recent mass shooting and murders at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas high school will not be tolerated by the students of this country. We demand an end to this violence and insist of measures to prevent future tragedy through changing some of the laws regarding guns, improving campus security, and increasing mental health screening and treatment.

Our government and political process have been captured by corrupt powerful corporate special interests. I fear that with our National Security at risk, with all the lies, fabrications and missing information by Jared Kushner, it would be in our best interest to block him from sensitive information. We already know he was looking to establish a "back door" to Russia, and we know the Kremlin's Gremlins have assisted every step of the way. Just the fact that Russia WANTED Trump in the White House, and meddled, which says they would only spend 1.2 million a month hacking, 60 million to the NRA to benefit Trump if it will BENEFIT THEM. Ask yourself, what was in it for Russia?

In less than a year there has been 18 school shootings. It has to STOP! We don't want the number to rise or be in fear when we go to school.

Gun control is debated on so many levels - ask the American people their opinions without the interference of state and local governments. Gun control crosses party lines, age, demographics, locations - and the people of the country need to make their beliefs heard -- ask the same questions on each ballot regarding automatic/semi-automatic weapons, mental health criteria, violent/ criminal behavior and individual rights on each state ballot - tally the results and then Congress needs to act based on the majority vote!

The University of New Mexico Hospital is an academic institution that aspires to Magnet Status; which is a designation indicating that they are “Nurse Friendly”. • UNMH recruits health care professionals by touting its great benefits, one of which is tuition reimbursement allowing employees to obtain higher degrees and National specialty licensure • UNMH recently decided to dramatically reduce reimbursement rates for clinical staff taking on-line classes and combined programs by almost 50% • The Hospital made this decision unilaterally without informing staff, seeking to understand the impact this would have on current employees, or having discussions with any of the key stakeholders! • Changing this policy in haste may jeopardize educational opportunities staff are currently pursuing or would otherwise be able to pursue in the future and may de-incentivize potential employees from applying to UNMH UNMH has always relied on the labels used on the UNM Bursar’s Office published tuition and fee schedule to reimburse courses taken outside the giant UNM university system, the same methodology was applied to courses in question. UNM now has a separate section on its tuition and fee schedule for a unique set of new online programs. For UNMH employees, all courses labeled as "online" were reimbursed based on the tuition and fee schedule specifically used for this select few UNM online programs, without consideration for the varied education programs working-students participate in. Because of all of the school shootings lately, we don't need any more hate in this world. And we certainly don't need idiots like Chris Rock preaching racism. It's disgusting.

I am affected because I am a citizen of these United States, as is most everyone here...and even if one is not a citizen, we all have a right to feel as safe as possible in our communities, beginning with our schools, malls, music venues, theaters and, for that matter, sidewalks, wherever we live. Human death by guns is at an all-time high...in numbers of deaths and incidents. I believe a roll call of all states be made regarding what, if any, laws are on the books regulating gun sales. We can't start in the Middle of this Problem...we Must Begin at the Beginning. I urge everyone to consider signing this petition to become a TEAM FOR CHANGE.

This will be a peaceful protest, and will hopefully emphasize the importance of safety in schools. Something needs to be done. We cannot keep going on this way.

Our roads are destroying peoples vehicle's. Every $ spent on studies, pet projects, even government vehicle's damaged by the roads is costing we the tax payers more and more. Gas tax hikes meant for road repair has not been put to that use and now our "ELECTED OFFICIALS" are again talking about raising the gas tax. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH--stop overspending, wasted spending, not using the tax collected for these projects FOR WHAT IT WAS INTENDED FOR. Illinois is starting to look like a third world country. If I was an elected official in Bloomington, Normal, McLean County or Illinois I would be embarrassed to have any out of town visitors to see how bad our roads are.

The signers of this petition do not want Dallas, Texas to be associated with the NRA or its convention. I started this petition to offer resistance to the NRA. The City Of Dallas is already heavily associated with gun violence and I wish a more positive association for my town.
