Gun restrictions for safer schools.

The federal government has tried to take away net neutrality, so we need Rhode Island to protect our rights. Rhode Island lawmakers have introduced two bills to do this. H7422, similar to recently passed laws in other states, says that any Internet service provider that does any business with state or local government must let all its customers access all the Internet with no selective slowing or blocking. H7076/S2008 is similar, but also has a section making all Internet service providers in the state follow net neutrality rules. Rhode Island should join other states in passing and upholding net neutrality laws so people don't lose the ability to access the full Internet.

We are the future of America. We deserve to live every breath without the fear of dying in schools because of careless gun laws. This petition isn't only used to represent shootings in schools, but shootings in general. Enough Is enough.

The current situation of litter on South Carolina’s streets and highways is not only unsightly, it’s unhealthy. It degrades our wonderful state to live the “backwards” stereotype of the Deep South.

We have all been affected by the constant news cycle of trying to expose any undue influence of our elected and appointed officials from domestic or foreign powers. Some affirm, some deny. It is tearing our country apart. All this could have been avoided by the current president releasing his tax returns up front, as has been the case for the past 40 years. Passing these bills is one way to demand transparency to restore faith in our government and start to bring the country back together

Felix Garcia is a longtime Georgia resident, an aspiring American, and the father of three daughters, including a medical student and a young U.S. citizen. Earlier this year, during a regular annual check-in, Felix was detained by ICE with no explanation. Felix has lived in the U.S. since 1995 and has no criminal record. Despite all of his contributions and efforts, Felix has never had a path to legal status in the United States, and now he faces permanent separation from his family. ICE under the Obama Administration did not see Felix as a threat or a deportation priority, and allowed him to stay with his family as long as he checked in annually. But under the Trump Administration, parents like Felix who have done nothing besides live in the country without papers are being taken away. Felix is an accountant and originally came to the United States seeking asylum. His oldest daughter Belsy is a Dreamer and medical student in Chicago who plans to return to Georgia as a physician and work in underserved communities. Atlanta ICE Office Director Sean Gallagher can stop Felix's deportation. Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) can use the power of his office to draw attention to Felix’s case. Tell Director Gallagher and Rep. Loudermilk to use their power to make sure Felix stays with his family! We need to do everything we can to stop Donald Trump's unchained ICE agents from taking Felix away from his home and family in Georgia. Sign this petition and urge Rep. Loudermilk and Director Gallagher to take action and stop Felix's deportation.

Secretary of State Pompeo has demonstrated his hate toward Transgender - Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual people. Pompeo now has the power to restrict the gender markers on passports of transgender people in the United States, reversing years of advocacy for the policy of acceptance of transgender people from the United States Department of State. We are demanding his immediate removal from the United States Government.

One of our teachers here, at the School of WeBSS, is not getting his contract renewed for reasons we as students don't see as valid. Many of the students here see him as a very important part of the community and as a role model. He is an advocate for the kids of our community and emphasizes the importance of doing what is important to them. He gives them an example to take into consideration when stepping into Adulthood

The Trump administration announced that it would reverse the rule that requires all organic egg farmers to give hens access to the outdoors. The net result of this is that birds will be confined in horrifying indoor sheds where trampling, disease, and even cannibalism run rampant --and the industry will be free to market their products as organic with "outdoor access."  We're asking the Trump administration to reverse this decision and support tree freedom for birds: an animal bill of rights!

Article #3 reads: "To see if the Strafford School District shall vote to accept the fact-finder's recommendations dated October 27, 2017 for a collective bargaining agreement between the Strafford School Board and the Strafford Education Association, NEA-NH, and further vote to approve the cost items associated therewith which call for the following increases in salaries and benefits at current staffing levels: 2018-19: $73,500 2019-20: $82,000 and further to raise and appropriate the same of $73,500 for the 2018-2019 fiscal year, such sum representing the additional costs attributable to the increases in salaries and benefits over those of the appropriation at current staffing levels paid in the prior fiscal year." I'm an U.S. Army veteran. I remember what happened at the Abu Ghraib prison -- where dozens of prisoners were beaten, tortured, or worse at the hands of our government. Some of my friends and fellow service members were actually a part of the team that shut the place down, so I'm well aware what that barbaric behavior does to a human being. Let me be clear: we can not rest so long as a torture-advocate like Gina Haspel has so much power over the CIA. Torture doesn't work. It's inhumane. Monstrous. Criminal. And not only does she actively advocate for it's use, but she carried out torture rings in Thailand then tried to cover it up! There is simply too much at stake to let Trump’s illegitimate regime further dismantle our diplomatic institutions. I know we can win this battle if we work together and take decisive action right away. This is what we’re made for.

89% of Americans want universal background checks. 67% want assault weapons banned from civilian ownership. We need common sense gun laws now to stop the carnage.
