• The Right Of HHC Police Officers To Carry Firearms
There has been a execution style murder of two NYPD Officers in Brooklyn, N.Y. At this time HHC Police Officers have no means to properly protect themselves and people in HHC facilities. Police Officers should have the right to carry firearms regardless of their race. At this time the Health & Hospitals Corporation, by denying their Police Officers the right to carry firearms is in violation of title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

  • Take away Al Sharpton's White House Frequent Visitor card
Anybody who knows the past of Al Sharpton should be concerned that he has become the go-to guy in matters dealing with race. Al Sharpton does nothing but divide this country and is of no benefit to President Obama. He is a self-appointed civil rights leader who only cares when the aggrieved are black. He does not show up protesting the police when the mentally disabled or mentally ill are the victims. He is a fraud who also evades paying his taxes while living a lavish lifestyle. Perception is reality and none of this benefits the President. There is a reason Al Sharpton has been called a racial arsonist. He poisons the atmosphere. Sharpton falsely accused a man of rape. Sharpton became famous by championing the cause of a black teenager named Tawana Brawley, who, it turned out, lied when she claimed that she'd been abducted and sexually assaulted by whites. A grand jury found that Tawana Brawley fabricated the whole thing. Sharpton not only refused to apologize, he dared white Asst. A.D. Pagones to sue him for defamation. Pagones obliged. A jury unanimously found Sharpton liable, and Pagones' lawyer spent years trying to get Sharpton to pay the judgment. To this day, Sharpton refuses to apologize to Pagones, who said he received death threats. Tawana Brawley had by 2013 only paid 1% of what she owed in punishment for the defamation. There is a FBI surveillance video of Sharpton arranging a cocaine/money laundering deal with a mobster-turned-informant. Nothing about Sharpton calling the first black mayor of New York a "n**er whore." Sharpton was a paid pitchman for LoanMax, a "predatory lender" that could not legally operate in New York. Crown Heights tells us everything one needs to know about Sharpton. A 7-year-old black child was accidentally struck and killed by a car driven by a Hasidic Jew in that section of Brooklyn, N.Y. It sparked three days of riots, resulting in a hundred people injured and the stabbing death of a young Jewish scholar, who was surrounded by a mob chanting, "Kill the Jew." Sharpton fanned the flames, leading some 400 protesters through a Jewish section of Crown Heights. Al Sharpton later said, "If the Jews want to get it on, tell them to pin their yarmulkes back and come over to my house." He also defended the lying Duke Lacrosse accuser (and now murderer) with "There is a lot of racism that's in the air." There are more examples but this is a petition and not a book.

  • Mayor mistake
Consequences! This man truly believes he can do and say whatever the heck he wants because his wife and children are black, so that apparently in this country now means you hand the right to tell "my fellow black family: Go out and protest as you may, and may it stay peaceful. We have the police there to help you". Then why did you tell them to go against them? My family comes from an incredibly long line of service men and I have had enough! I will be the voice for you!

  • It's time for full equality!
In too many states, it’s still legal to discriminate against LGBT Americans. Whether it’s in housing, public accommodations or in the workplace, it has to stop. We’ve made incremental progress, but it isn’t enough. In 14 states where we’ve won victories on marriage equality, someone could marry their same-sex partner legally on Saturday and then get fired for being gay on Monday. That’s wrong. We acted to ban discrimination on the basis of race, gender, national origin, and religion. Now it's time for the next step: a comprehensive act that affords to LGBT Americans the full equality that all Americans deserve. Add your name today and join the chorus of Americans calling for full LGBT equality. Help us get it done!

  • Southwest Michigan Citizens Against The "Religious Freedom Restoration Act"
Last week, the Michigan House of Representatives passed the "Religious Freedom Restoration Act" along party lines. It should be titled the "License To Discriminate Act". This act's sole purpose is to allow a person to refuse to serve any person whom they choose if they have a moral objection to that person's lifestyle. The LGBT community is most likely the target of this bill, but it has far reaching implications that even its proponents don't yet realize. By citing religious beliefs, people would be able to legally discriminate against anybody they wanted for any purpose. Christians against Jews, Jews against Muslims, Muslims against Hindus, and so on, and so on. Is this really the type of society we wish to live in? I think not. Liberty and justice for all, regardless of whether or not you share someone else's religious beliefs.

  • Bay County Residents Against The Religous Freedom Restoration Act
The Religious Freedom Restoration Act states that a provider's " religious reasons" could prevent a person in need from receiving medical help, housing, or a driver's license. This Act is discriminatory and unkind. We the people of Michigan in Bay County who have signed this petition do not support this Act.

  • Help Stop Sex Trafficking!
In the United States, human trafficking is an increasing problem. This criminal enterprise includes citizens of the United States, many of them children, who are forced into prostitution, and foreigners brought into the country, often under false pretenses, who are coerced into forced labor or commercial sexual exploitation.

  • Laws to Protect unarmed Black Men from being killed by law enforcement officers.
Based on the number of Black Males being killed by Officers of the Law without any indictments or prosecution of these Officers. There is an apparent lack of laws to protect this segment of the population as is evident in the recent killings of Michael Brown, Eric Garner and so many others. In a Nation of Laws we need a Federal Law to protect these innocent victims from being killed before even getting to a hearing.

  • Stand against H.R.347
I am making this petition because I believe it is morally and tactically unwise for the government increase the suspicions of the people it is meant to protect and serve. If the government you has nothing to hide, it has no reason to fear its citizens. We only want truth. Is that something the government should have to defend itself against? The greatest law is - Love thy God. The second is Love thy neighbor. Are we not all each other's brothers keepers to atone and answer for each other, to help each other up? Preventing protests near government buildings, is not helpful and after recent events at Ferguson and other places, this only will inspire hostility in the people toward government authority. Please hear me out. God bless you all.

  • Tell Sen. McKoon to support religious freedom, not discrimination
The city council of Kennesaw has rejected a request from a neighborhood Islamic group for the right to rent a local retail space for worship service. McKoon’s silence on this issue speaks volumes about the true intentions of his so-called “religious freedom” bill, which is really designed to promote discrimination. "Religious pluralism is one of the foundation stones of this country,” McKoon says. “Sending a message that people of every faith are welcome in this state, and don't have to worry about government trampling their right to free exercise, is something we should want to champion.” Despite being a clear case of local government trampling on one group’s freedom to express their religion, the council’s decision was celebrated by opponents of the mosque, including protestors. Demonstrators held signs that read “Ban Islam” and “Islam wants no peace!” One resident addressed the Muslim group in a public meeting by saying, “We’re scared of you!” Now, Sen. McKoon has the chance to add his voice to this fight, but, so far, hasn’t said a word. The council silently denied the community’s request in a 4-1 vote, claiming they don’t allow religious organizations to rent retail space; however, as recently as July 2014, the council unanimously approved the use of a large retail space by a Pentecostal church. Only one council member, Cris Eaton-Welsh, voted in favor of the motion. “This is 100 percent, bar none, a First Amendment issue,” says Eaton-Welsh, who describes herself as “politically conservative” Catholic. “They have the right to assemble. I don’t understand their religion, but they have the right to do this.” This is clearly a case of religious discrimination. Tell McKoon to take a stand for the Islamic community in Kennesaw by publicly supporting religious expression for Georgians of all faiths.
