  • Pass Gun Control Restrictions like CO
We need to not only stop free access to non-hunting weapons by mentally ill but make private gun sellers responsible if they do and those weapons are used in crimes, particularly murder. It is the exact same thing as cracking down on drug dealers. And that second amendment crap is just that. NO ONE has ever said anything about taking away guns - except the NRA propaganda and fear mongers.

  • Missouri Doesn't Want Voter Suppression
The Missouri House and Senate are considering a constitutional amendment requiring a photo ID to vote, which would unfairly disenfranchise thousands of elderly, minority, and low-income Missourians. Tell your legislators to oppose so-called "voter ID" laws.

  • Ohio & the USA is Not A Functioning Democracy: Let's fix it!
The Ohio State Legislature is 2/3 majority for the party that lost the last election; the same with Ohio's Congressional Representation. This is mirrored across the USA. State after State have been gerrymandered to the extent that we no longer have a representative form of government. The House of Representatives no longer represents the vote of the electorate. STOP THE GERRYMANDERING; STOP THE DECAY; SAVE OUR DEMOCRATIC INSTITUTIONS.

  • No Photo I.D.'s to Vote in North Carolina
The North Carolina State Legislature should abandon G.O.P.-inspired efforts to force North Carolinians to present photo I.D.'s when entering voting locations. Being lawfully registered to vote is enough; voting is a constitutional right for legally registered citizens of this (and every) state, and there is VERY little evidence of so-called voter "fraud". This is simply an effort to suppress voting among certain groups.

  • Stop SB 47 No Limits on our Constitutional Rights
Senate bill 47 is an attempt to limit the time citizens have to gather signatures and have an issue placed on the ballot. We the People have been successful in getting legislation before all of the people. It is our CONSTITUIONAL RIGHT to hold our elected officials accountable. STOP SB 47. Don't allow the State House to steal our right to petition the State Government to stop legislation that infringes on our free excercise of democracy.

  • The Honorable Gonzales: Please put ERA, HCR 8001 on the Agenda!
The "Equality" journey from Seneca Falls Convention in 1848, to Anthony's women's suffrage in 1920, to Paul's 1923 authoring of The Equal Rights Amendment, (ERA), to the 92nd Congress, ratification of Representative Griffiths’ 1972 ERA Joint Resolution, and now in 2013, to you, Representative Gonzales. We have talked the "Equality" talk for over 165 years. Let us pay homage to Lucretia Mott, Elizabeth Caddy Stanton and Alice Paul's "Equality" dream! Let us come together as Americans living in the greatest democracy, where the will of the people is the basis of the authority of our government. Let us bestow legal equal rights to all citizens, male and female, of the United States of America. The Fourteenth Amendment, requires each state to provide equal protection under the law to all people. All people (male and female) born or naturalized in the U.S., are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. Women, like men, too are citizens, taxpayers, spouses and deserve liberty, justice and equality! It is the new millennium, a new era, and adding ERA to the U.S. Constitution would make it clear that America stands for legal equality of all its citizens, female and male. Now, the time has come, to walk the talk and ratify "The Equal Rights Amendment, ERA, to the U.S. Constitution! Respectfully, we thank you.
