• Voting Law
I think all states should have early voting of at least a minimum of 5 days. Voting starts on Friday at 7 AM and ends at 7 PM everyday until election day. These are the minimum times and days that polls should be open. This is important for all states!

  • Fix the Florida Vote Rick Scott!!
It's a disgrace to have 7 hour waits to vote. We must expand early voting hours in Florida. We need 2 weeks of early voting. As the population has increased, the voting needs increased. Do the right thing Rick Scott!

  • Early Voting in Virginia
We currently have NO early voting opportunities for Virginia Voters nor do we have "no excuse" absentee balloting opportunities. We need to provide our voters with a minimum of a few days to cast an early ballot.

  • National Holiday for Voting
At least people wouldn't have to reschedule their whole day of work and other house hold tasks to try to make room for time to vote. The time at work would be free to vote so at least every body had a reasanable chance to get to vote even where the lines are long.

  • MAKE ELECTION DAY A FEDERAL HOLIDAY
On Tuesday America watched as long lines of people waited a very long time to vote. Some people were not able to vote because they could not take the time off from work to do so. Making Election Day a federal holiday would alleviate some of the issues we faced on Election Day.

  • Changing the voting structure in state of Florida
Florida has a history of conducting haphazard elections. Therefore it is incumbent upon the citizens of that state to change the system to one that insures the integrity of the vote while making the ability to vote more widely and easily accessable and amkes the results of that vote more readily accessible.

  • Federal Law providing 1 week to vote
For the past 4 presidential elections, access to vote has been hindered, delayed, blocked and suppressed. Based on the reality that white suburban voters face little to no lines to vote and urban, ethnic voters face hours in line on election day, we need a federal law which forces all states to provide the same, consistent access to a ballot for all potential voters.

  • No racist group signs on the highways.
In Kentucky, due to the Adopt-a-Highway program, the state posts signs for free for any group, their is no discrimination, if they agree to clean up a 2 mile stretch of Highway at least twice a year. In the county where I live the National Socialist Movement--a "whites only" group, got a sign posted by the state for free by volunteering to clean the highway. I cannot in good conscience believe that this is the best way to keep our highways clean.

  • Internet Privacy
We are constantly monitored, recorded, and under surveillance by both the Government and private companies/corporations who sell our identities and personal information. The Government monitors us under the guise of security, but we should not let our right to privacy be trampled. Like the saying goes, give a mouse a cookie and he wants a glass of milk. Protect your rights and hold them dearly for they are all that separates us from the rest of the world. We are the United States of America, land of the free!

  • Voting Day Reform
In 2012, in the age of iPads, Facebook, and Coursera, it is absurd that we have such archaic voting procedures. We can watch the elections results on 3D holograms and touch screen jumbo monitors, yet we have citizens waiting in line for hours in inclement weather with various issues all across the country. While I simply walked up to hand in my vote by mail ballot with no problems, I saw in real time through news and social media the very real problems people were facing. The problems are real with many possible solutions- online voting, early voting, voting day as a national holiday, etc. Let's hold President Obama and Congress accountable. As the President said in his acceptance speech on November 6th, 2012, "by the way, we have to fix that." This should not be an after thought. We can not wait four more years to work on this. Reform voting procedures now.
