• Preserve voting rights in Arkansas
Some elected Arkansas officials wish to introduce legislation requiring voters to present certain official forms of identification, which many senior and economically-challenged citizens do not possess. This effort is similar to that recently enacted in Pennsylvania (and found unconstitutional in our neighboring Texas). Our legislature should not impose additional requirements on Arkansans exercising their constitutional right to vote.

  • Rep. Bryan King attempts voter suppression
Arkansas State Representative Bryan King is leading the charge to make an end run around the Voting Rights Act. I have never heard of a single case of voter fraud in the state of Arkansas. And I have never had to show an ID to vote. I know my poll workers—they're my neighbors and friends, and they know me. So why try to create these laws now? Rep. King wants to bring polarizing partisan politics to Arkansas. He wants to attack the Democratic base here in our state to further his party's oppressive attack on the middle class and poor. That isn't Arkansas. Let's tell Rep. King, "Not in our state!"

  • No Tax Return - No Vote (Chanted like "No Justice, No Peace")
We want this chanted and asked for everywhere and by everyone, most importantly at the first presidential debate. For every job we have applied for we reluctantly but proudly agree to the full disclosure of an invasive background check and drug testing, (for example, during the Olympics, screening for performance enhancement, advantage giving, cheating drugs) Our group of Republicans, Democrats and Independents find it ironic that the former head of the Olympics and a self proclaimed "Business man" doesn't get this principle of fairness and "informed" choices as it applies to him.

  • Tommy Thompson: Personal attacks have no place in politics
On Wednesday, Sept. 5, Tommy Thompson's US Senate campaign sent an email to members of the media attempting to question Tammy Baldwin's "heartland values," launching a personal attack on Tammy Baldwin for her sexual orientation. Thompson's campaign is attacking Baldwin on the basis of her personal life. This is not the Wisconsin way. Thompson cannot remain silent another day. It's time for Thompson to take responsibility for his campaign and the divisive, personal attacks they’re pushing.

  • Revisit The Right to Prayer in Schools
A recent statistical analysis by David Barton graphically illustrates how America has plummeted from righteous living, prosperity and success in the last quarter century The removal of prayer from our schools was a violation of the third commandment which commands us “not to take the name of the Lord in vain.” By the judicial act of forbidding invocation, the Court audaciously elevated a secularized system of education beyond the authority, reach and blessing of God Himself. Worse than taking the Lord’s sacred name in vain is treating it with contempt, denying it rightful place and stripping it from public use and even from the lips of children. Jesus’ own expressed desire, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them” was also violated by these judges, many of whom were raised in Christian homes. When they voted out the right to pray in School I was too young to vote I would love to see us as a nation get back to prayer in School I recently read a comment or a blog or just a article and it explained how the question was asked of God why is there killing and molestation in School. On top of that why are Kids not being taught properly and Gods answer is Im not allowed in School we stood by as a nation and allowed back in the Sixties a group of people who claimed they were offended by Prayer in Schools.Banned together started a pettition to take the most important part of lives our creator out of out Children's lives so I'm challenging and inviting every one who knows in there hearts to sign this petition and I know as sure as they knew , that the Lord God Almighty will turn this nation around if we turn back to him Be Bless My Beloved Brothers and Sisters

  • Tell Rob McKenna to apologize for using racial stereotypes in campaign ads
Tonight while watching tv, I saw a political ad put out by Rob McKenna (see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7V7B23Ka710) - which perpetuated damaging racial stereotypes. While talking about unemployment, he showed photos of black people. while talking about opening small businesses, he showed an Asian man. while talking about education, he showed ONLY white children. This is sending the message that race based stereotypes are not only ok, but that Rob McKenna would purposely choose to reinforce these if he is chosen as governor for WA state. I find this offensive, and I think that McKenna should apologize for perpetuating this behavior.

  • Schools should not mandate Ritalin or other pharmecuticals as a condition of attendance!
This petition is about telling the school systems that they cannot mandate that our children use Ritalin or other drugs as a condition of attendance. This is an unfair and dangerous policy that damages childrens self confidence and important developmental attributes.
