Expanded VotingIt is necessary to defend expanded voting hours to more than Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. As citizens of the United States of America it is our constitutional right to vote. If shortened voting hours are placed into affect many Americans will not get to vote; and ironically, it would be the working class who lost their voice.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Sharon Proudfoot

Help Expose Hidden Racism In This ElectionThe real elephant in this Presidential Election is the blatant racism attached to blocking the vote of people of color. A concerted effort has been maliciously constructed since the election of President Obama in 2008, to develop and present road blocks that would inhibit the inalienable rights of those who have and would vote again for President Obama. Let's call a spade a spade - Stand with me to expose the racism that is previlent in this campaign, and to restore the dignity and the unimpeded right of All the American people to vote.13 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Evie Stevenson

Voter Suppression: Where's the Press?Key GOP-controlled states such as Wisconsin, Ohio, Florida, and Ohio are using questionable methods of preventing probable democrat voters--young people, old people, minorities--from voting. This is un-Amarican and the press is not on top of it. Why not? They should be.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Joel Rosenfeld

Homeless people have civil rights.Discrimination against the poor and homeless is rampant. Infringement of basic civil liberties is a given with current laws. (Vagrancy, loitering etc.) I have been homeless on and off for a few years and I know that Americans can be quite cruel to those who don't fit the capitalist's bill. Bias laws promote bias thinking therefore, I propose that all vagrancy laws be repealed. I also propose that public places provide shelter without bias instead of no loitering and no camping signs.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Shawn

Voter supression lawssome Republican-leaning states have recently placed voter supression laws designed to prevent poor, elderly, disabled and those without transportation from voting, under the guise that they are designed to prevent fraud, without no apparent proof. If these laws are effected by states, they should apply only to state elections, and not to federal elections, as these are the domain of the federal government.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Pete

Disability DiscriminationI am a T-9 paraplegic 38 years old and 38 weeks pregnant and I went to lunch at Burger King where I was filling my drink and an employee came over and punched me in the face insisting I get out of my wheelchair, my 16 yr old son restrained him & after asking 2 employees for help and being ignored a mgr finally came forward and got the man away from us and the city of Lafayette says I have no proof it happened! The man told police he hit me because he wanted me out of my wheelchair! What else do you need! Burger King should be liable for their employee discriminating against me for being physically disabled not to mention my busted mouth and danger they placed me and my son and unborn baby in by employing such a person! Need help getting support to hold them accountable!6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Randy

Stop the Voter ID lawsThis is about the constitutional right to vote for every citizen. The results of a close election can be tampered with by preventing people from voting. Key battleground states (Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania) with a large number of electoral votes are requiring voters to bring a photo ID to the polls. This is a REPUBLICAN, not a Democratic Party effort. They have already been successful in making this the law in these states, effectively disenfranchising certain groups of voters (minority poor, elderly, students) who could be crucial for President Obama to win a second term. This is the intent behind the laws, which purport to prevent voter fraud. There have been practically no instances of voter fraud, so this is a blatant attempt to tamper with the vote, which is illegal, undemocratic and un-American. Republicans should consider the implications if it were a Republican candidate up for election and Democrats were tampering with a free and fair election.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Suzanne Davis

Use Federal Civil Rights Legislation to Protect Children as a Special Class from PedophilesI was molested between the ages of 10 - 12 while a Boy Scout in Troop 455 in North Merrick, New York, which culminated in a very violent violation by my Boy Scout Troop Leader in his basement when I was 12. A 38 Caliber "Policeman's Special" was shoved into my mouth to "help me" forget. It worked for 33 years. My memory returned at age 45 in September 1994. I started therapy the next day. My Troop Leader apologized to me in July 1999. New York recently reformed its statute limiting prosecution. The deadline for criminal prosecution had been age 18; it is now 53. The reform also opened a one year "Look Back Window" that has allowed me to now be part of a class action. Now all I must do is survive Covid-19. Eight (8) States and The Territory of Guam have no Statute of Limitation for prosecuting child sex abuse. Each State treats child sex crimes differently. In my opinion, this is a violation of the "Due Process" and "Equal Justice" clauses of Article 1 of the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution. The Federal Government is obligated to ensure Equal Justice Before the Law. This can be accomplished by using existing Federal Civil Rights Laws to protect children as a special class. There should be no Statute of Limitation on the Federal level shielding pedophiles from prosecution; the Federal Government must prosecute when the States fail to protect children, just as the Federal Government steps in when States fail to prosecute hate crimes. The most severely traumatized should not be further violated being denied justice because of a handicapped memory that resulted from the extreme nature of their trauma. The survivor-victim is still obligated to prove their case; most critically they must be heard! That is why I started this petition to the United States House of Representatives, the United States Senate, and to President Donald Trump.
