Institute Mandatory Public Funding of all ElectionsWe all know that campaign financing has devolved into bribery pure and simple. Because of this, representation is proportional to the amount of money offered, not "one person, one vote".1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Rodger Hamer

CCO Transparency & AccountabilitiyCoordinated Care Organizations (CCO) were created by the Oregon legislature to provide better services at reduced cost for those on Medicaid (Oregon Health Plan), however these CCO can be private for profit companies that have little accountability to the local community and are not being required to have public meetings or records of what they are planning regarding the health care of our most vulnerable citizens.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Oregon Patients Rights Assocation

Restore Glass Seagall ActI think it's really important, we have all of these big banks that are to big to fail, that need to fail! Glass Seagall Act was introduced in 1933 and it took care of the problems then so it's time to bring it back to stay!3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Teri Covert

CVS: Don't Require Employees to Disclose Personal Health Info or Face a $600 PenaltyAccording to news reports, CVS Caremark informed employees this week that they must disclose personal health information or pay a $600 annual penalty. While we understand the need to control the rising cost of healthcare, we feel strongly that this approach by CVS breaches the privacy rights of workers and sets a frightening precedent for other employers to follow suit. CVS employees are being required to show up to a doctor for an annual WebMD Wellness Review and submit to tests for blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol and body mass and body weight. The CVS memo to employees also states, “Going forward, you'll be expected not just to know your numbers - but also to take action to manage them." Is CVS suggesting that it will require employees to diet? Or take up running? Many employers are focused on encouraging their workers to stay healthy through incentives and wellness programs. But requiring employees to disclose personal health data crosses a line when it comes to privacy rights. Dr. Deborah Peel of Patient Privacy Rights told ABC News, “This [policy] is about as coercive and blunt as I’ve ever seen." We agree, and that's why we're calling on CVS to respect their employees' right to privacy. Don't penalize workers for wanting to keep their health records private. There are far better ways to help employees get fit & stay healthy.162 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Jess Kutch

Standardized PackagingWhen you purchase items you want to compare prices and get value for your money. Manufacturers are making that very difficult by changing the amount in the package while making it seem the same. A "half gallon" of orange juice is likely 1.75 liters instead of 1.89 (a true 1/2 gallon). Ice cream is too or even 1.5 liter. Dry pasta is a "pound sized package" with 13.25 ouches. Is a "double roll" of toilet paper a deal when the size of the sheets, number of plies, and sheets per roll are different with each brand? While companies don't like to raise prices, I believe that making it seem your getting the same amount is deceptive and makes comparison very hard. Gasoline prices change daily, but what if the price was the same but you got a smaller amount each time that varied by brand? We need standardized quantities!18 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Tom Hofstad

Indiana State Legislature: Resolution for National Congressional Delegation to Reinstate Glass-St...Our economy has reached a very dangerous place, and we need to take action at all levels—from grassroots to Federal Government. The Glass-Steagall Act is the indispensable first step to both United States and global economic recovery! Glass-Steagall will immediately halt the onset of hyperinflation, remove government commitment to toxic debts, bar government bailouts, end Too Big To Fail, and again force the complete separation of commercial banks from investment banks which, 1933 to 1999, protected "we the people" from risky and predatory banking practices. The Glass-Steagall Act must be reinstated immediately so that an orderly reorganization can be started before the collapse of our financial system, and to allow for a transition to regulated banking without dangerous hyperinflation. Legislation to reinstate the Glass-Steagall Act has been introduced in the 113th Congress as House bill HR-129, and needs a concurrent bill in the Senate. That's why I created this petition to The Indiana State House and The Indiana State Senate.57 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Natalia Lytwakiwsky

Tell the L.A. Times and Chicago Tribune owners: "No Sale to the Koch Brothers!"The Koch brothers are the worst of the worst. Oil and gas billionaires, they're known for funding the Tea Party, buying elections, funding anti-science organizations, union busting, dodging taxes, and twisting democracy any way they can to promote their personal agenda. Now, in a stunning move, according to multiple reports, they want to buy the company that owns the Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, and several other big newspapers to further their radical right-wing agenda and move fringe Tea Party ideas into the mainstream. They cannot be allowed to purchase the most respected newspapers in the biggest media markets in the country in order to peddle their discredited ideas and right-wing propaganda. People count on papers like Los Angeles Times and Chicago Tribune for real facts, real issues, and unbiased information. And newspaper endorsements in local and statewide elections carry substantial clout. The Koch brothers cannot be allowed to control these vital sources of information.7,124 of 8,000 SignaturesCreated by Gabe Smalley

Governor Quin, IL State House and Senate, President Obama, and US House and Senate tell Wall Stre...My Petition is about the money that is going into Wall Street from these gun manufacturers, because all it does is fracture our Wall Street System in the United States. The Gun Manufacturers and ALEC do not care anyone but themselves and no one else. These gun manufacturers and ALEC also only support legislation that only hurts people, not support people.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Patrick Scherdin

Tell Missouri's Senate to Stand Up For Our CommunitiesIndustrial agribusinesses that operate factory farms throughout Missouri are lobbying our Senate for a constitutional amendment that would place them beyond the reach of the law. If SJR 22 passes, we could see a future in which we, as citizens, couldn’t use the courts to make sure that industrial farms don’t pollute our water, to keep multinational corporations from bullying family farmers out of business, or to stop a 20,000 hog factory farm from being built in our community or our back yard. Missouri’s lawmakers are hearing from plenty of industry lobbyists, and they need to hear from Missourians like you and I that we don’t want them to pass SJR 22.239 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Stuart Keating
