Our economy has reached a very dangerous place, and we need to take action at all levels—from grassroots to Federal Government. The Glass-Steagall Act is the indispensable first step to both United States and global economic recovery! Glass-Steagall will immediately halt the onset of hyperinflation, remove government commitment to toxic debts, bar government bailouts, end Too Big To Fail, and again force the complete separation of commercial banks from investment banks which, 1933 to 1999, protected "we the people" from risky and predatory banking practices. The Glass-Steagall Act must be reinstated immediately so that an orderly reorganization can be started before the collapse of our financial system, and to allow for a transition to regulated banking without dangerous hyperinflation. Legislation to reinstate the Glass-Steagall Act has been introduced in the 113th Congress as House bill HR-129, and needs a concurrent bill in the Senate. That's why I created this petition to The Indiana State House and The Indiana State Senate.

The Koch brothers are the worst of the worst. Oil and gas billionaires, they're known for funding the Tea Party, buying elections, funding anti-science organizations, union busting, dodging taxes, and twisting democracy any way they can to promote their personal agenda. Now, in a stunning move, according to multiple reports, they want to buy the company that owns the Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, and several other big newspapers to further their radical right-wing agenda and move fringe Tea Party ideas into the mainstream. They cannot be allowed to purchase the most respected newspapers in the biggest media markets in the country in order to peddle their discredited ideas and right-wing propaganda. People count on papers like Los Angeles Times and Chicago Tribune for real facts, real issues, and unbiased information. And newspaper endorsements in local and statewide elections carry substantial clout. The Koch brothers cannot be allowed to control these vital sources of information.

My Petition is about the money that is going into Wall Street from these gun manufacturers, because all it does is fracture our Wall Street System in the United States. The Gun Manufacturers and ALEC do not care anyone but themselves and no one else. These gun manufacturers and ALEC also only support legislation that only hurts people, not support people.

Industrial agribusinesses that operate factory farms throughout Missouri are lobbying our Senate for a constitutional amendment that would place them beyond the reach of the law. If SJR 22 passes, we could see a future in which we, as citizens, couldn’t use the courts to make sure that industrial farms don’t pollute our water, to keep multinational corporations from bullying family farmers out of business, or to stop a 20,000 hog factory farm from being built in our community or our back yard. Missouri’s lawmakers are hearing from plenty of industry lobbyists, and they need to hear from Missourians like you and I that we don’t want them to pass SJR 22.

How many times a government employee is terminated or retaliated against for reporting fraud, waste and abuse of taxpayers dollars or violations of public policies and unlawful activities by our public officials. We might find it necessary to report wrongdoing, but we should proceed with caution before blowing the whistle. My review of state-level lawsuits suggests that being entitled to protection under a state whistle-blower statute and receiving that protection can be two different matters. Lawsuits filed by whistle-blowers shows that it’s difficult to receive protection under many of the state laws. The current Whistleblower statutes (State and Federal) need to be strengthened; it is not sufficient and fails to provide enough of a deterrent to those who would use government for their own personal gain or to satisfy their own personal desires. In an article I read the statistic showed that seventy-four percent of the whistle-blowers were terminated. Another 6 percent were suspended and 5 percent were transferred against their wishes.
