Visa Charge to consumersThe Visa Company is trying to find loop holes in yet again trying to make an extra buck. 10 states said no, and who want to cross or wait to shop until we visit one of these states? I know for a fact that each store who does this will lose my business all around. This is just another way to make a buck, the Visa was protected by bank once and they were losing a lot of money I guess from not allowing money to be spent when folks didn't have any money. Charging all the over draft fees, when the banks knew they consumer didn't have the funds. Since check books are not used much anymore, folks just guess sometimes about their balance.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Zo

No cronyism in Sandy cleanupAfter Sandy, Governor Christie awarded a $100 million no-bid contract for hurricane cleanup to AshBritt Inc., a Florida-based company with deep political connections and a reputation for overcharging for their services. Then AshBritt hired key political players to help convince local governments to follow the Christie Administration and give them yet more no-bid contracts. And it’s not over. The most recent contract for AshBritt doesn't just cover Sandy cleanup -- it's for all future disasters. Even worse, the head of AshBritt's lobbying firm is giving Governor Christie a $3,800 a plate fundraiser this month. This is everything that’s wrong with New Jersey politics and it has to stop. The state should cancel its contract for future work with AshBritt and investigate the Sandy cleanup process to make sure taxpayer dollars were well spent.1,798 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Bill Holland

Coal Terminal and Coal TrainsThe Coal terminal in Bellingham, AND the coal trains that impact the whole WA State coast are a short term money-maker for a corporation at the expense of the health, environment, job security and air and water quality of the entire coast and islands (huge coal ships going through). There is no long-term benefit to anyone in WA State.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Patricia Banasky

Investigate Chase Bank & J.P. Morgan Chase for predatory, illegal and unethical banking practices...Investigate Chase Bank & J.P. Morgan Chase for predatory, illegal and unethical banking practices against it's account holders. Have you been subject too what appears to be a protracted, consistent and calculated manipulation of your account by Chase for it's own gain and profit through calculated manipulation of "pending" charges and fraudulent overdraft fees, and by a systematic processing of debit card transactions not in the order in which customers conducted them but instead from the highest-to-lowest transaction balances; the change allegedly caused customers to drain their accounts quickly and maximized the overdraft fees assessed against them. Goldman Sachs isn’t the only rotten apple on Wall Street. They weren’t alone in defrauding investors and America. JP Morgan Chase, along with other major U.S. banks, have made billions in ‘deceptive fees’ in the form of real-time mobile alerts, ‘selective transaction’ postings and other tactics. For example, Chase’s real-time mobile alerts — until recently — weren’t exactly real-time. Overdraft alerts in the past were always sent the following business day. This feature wasn’t designed with the account holder in mind — only the bank. Another deceptive tactic employed by Chase and other U.S. banks is selective transaction posting. The banks essentially cherry-picked transactions to levy overdraft fees, choosing to post larger purchases first over smaller ones. How’s that for siphoning your money? Of course, Wall Street and the banks will all deny any wrongdoing, but the facts clearly show otherwise. After trillions in taxpayer bailouts, and billions in deceptive fees, it’s time for U.S. banks to have their day in court, too.245 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Aaron Brooks

Dump gun & ammo stocksThe NRA is a wholy owned subsidiary of the gun and ammo manufacturers. The way to rein in the gun lobby is for all mutual funds, pensions, and individuals to sell these pernicious company stocks. I propose a 'pledge' drive (and MoveOn is just the group to do it) to have people owning gun stocks, and their surrogates to pledge to sell their stocks at a loss in order to drive home the public outrage with the gun lobby.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by John Alderman

Persistent Auto Coverage PenaltiesMy auto-insurance rates doubled because I let my auto insurance lapse on my vehicles while travelling out of the country. I was in Canada for 9 months and my insurance carrier would not lower the coverage on my vehicles. The vehicles were in my garage and not being used, however once I returned to the US, the insurer attempted to charge me 3-5 times the amount I once paid.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Rhonin Powers

Save the schools, Stop privitizing liquor stores and Don't rig the electorate voteAll of us are suffering. Wether it is our children without a teacher in school. Pennsylvania's governor has not accepted the insurance exchanges to benefit especially the poor and the children. I have seen first hand in health care how so many people are suffering at the backs of the heartless politicians.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by cheryl walker

Stop Governor Parnell's Bill to Give Away Billions to the Oil IndustryGovernor Parnell is proposing a bill to give billions in tax breaks to the oil industry with no strings attached. This would drain our savings and put us immediately into deficit spending, leading to cuts in education and other government services. It's our oil and we must get the maximum value for it, as required by the Alaska Constitution.1,612 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Laura krip

Don't Privatize Pennsylvania Wine and Spirits ShopsPennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett is once again selling out our children and eliminating much-needed funding for our schools, and risking 5,000 good-paying jobs here in Pennsylvania. He's already cut billions from education, and now, if he privatizes the Pennsylvania Wine and Spirits Shops, the $500 million generated annually would disappear. These funds help pay for good quality schools and other necessary programs across the Commonwealth. Tell him not to sell out our children and to NOT dismantle the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board and save 5,000 jobs.1,618 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Kim McMurray
