The recent major losses of JP Morgan and a study done by Bloomberg have pointed to an ongoing program of multi-billion dollar subsidies of 18 major banks in the US. These banks' continuing risky practices, awards of extreme amounts to its top executives, and total lack of accountability do not entitle them to receive what amounts to corporate welfare. I call for an end to federal subsidies of the big banks.

Now is the time for the US to pressure China into treating Tibet more decently, and to move towards its liberation and that its lands be given back to Tibetans. Pressure China to move in this direction, otherwise prescribe economic embargos, and lastly military force, etc.

The terrible Citizens United Supreme Court decision, recently upheld, is turning elections into auctions, but what if enough people pledged not to watch the corporate-funded advertising? The big spenders would be wasting their money! Broadcasters monitor how many viewers watch these ads. If they find the people are deliberately turning them off, and report this to the ad buyers, it will discourage attempts to buy elections. The results of this petition will be sent to the Koch Brothers, ALEC, Karl Rove, and others. I do not want to live in an America dominated by a new corporate feudalism, with a struggling 99% and an uber-rich 1%. I am hoping that MoveOn picks up this campaign.

Cruelly enough, many fur companies around the world inflict despicably ruthless abuse on the precious animals they ensnare, for the sole purpose of making a nice, steady income from the animals' fur. A majority of these animals are in fact skinned alive in abusive, extremely inhumane fur factories. Needless to say, workers in these factories entirely lack respect, compassion and wisdom for other living beings such as these dear creatures. One could also state that such people lack minds and hearts, as well! In short, the fur industry is receiving great profits from ruthlessly skinning animals alive. Does this sound pleasant or fair to you? The stunningly beautiful pelts of other animals deserve to remain on these glorious creatures, not stripped off and then sold by greedy fur industries.
